This diorama i'm making is going to be about Viking raiders greeting the king with the proceeds from their latest voyage. The diorama will be constructed over a few weeks and the centre piece will be a Viking ship in the foreground. I hope you enjoy the journey. Sapper

Thanks Larry, Yeah it should turn out ok but i'm sorry i did not make the base a little bigger. By my calculations the ship will take up the whole of the front portion. Have not built it yet. I'ts a kit. See what happens. Regards Greg.

Another photo, with timber wall to separate the land from the ocean. A dock will extend out from the wall and a Viking ship will be moored beside this. After having completed those things a lot more figures will be added in the diorama. Sapper

Changed the water colour to a darker colour and started on building the dock. Sapper.

Greg, mate if you haven't already got some realistic water, I recommend you get some of the water product from Dave of Modellers warehouse who will at the dinner venue in the afternoon.
Found it to be better value.

Started building the ship and found that the width was too big for the area I had made so I will have to decrease the dock size. I'm finding it more difficult than I first thought. It doesn't help that the instructions are in Chinese and it is very time consuming. With our dinner diorama night this weekend, I don't know whether I will get much done on the ship but will post some updated photos on Sunday. Regards Greg.
