I am visiting Western Australia for a conference and was lucky enough to meet up with John O'Brien (Obee) and Wayne, of grey German fame. I had a lovely afternoon - steak lunch, army museum and John's TS work space - and had a good chance to talk all things TS. Here are a few photographs from the outside of the museum and for those of us tortured by the question of whether it is possible to look cool while leaning on a WW2 tank, John answered that with a resounding 'yes'.

I was glad to show you some 'good old Wild West(OZ)" hospitality yesterday, and share some words of wisdom with you and Wayne yesterday about our mutual hobby.

Thanks for posting the images, maybe now the size of the Stuart Tank can be determined by me leaning on it ???

By the way, the Aviation Heritage Museum is 20 mins from you, open 10:00 to 4:00 any day, so if you are 'free' we can also visit that before you head back.

Dear John

I cannot possibly devote two hours to an aircraft museum when I should be developing career links at a conference{sm4}. Perhaps we could meet for a few hours on Monday at your convenience and I could explain why I cannot go the museum ... is there any place close by that we can meet? {sm4} I am delivering my papers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here are couple more pictures of the M3 Grant Medium Tank and some of the guns on the parade ground (5.5" Medium Gun and 25 Pounder QF Field Gun)
