Simmo, don't worry about it mate. Its possible that the 7 votes for 'No interest' are not Toy Soldier Collectors at all, they could all in fact be English Cricket supporters!;):D

I voted for "No Interest" as I felt that was the most suitable option as I don't collect those figures - not because I don't like Australians even though I'm an English Cricket supporter :p;):D

Jeff, imagine if we didn't get on with anyone who beat us at Cricket!.It would be 'So Iceland, hows tricks'?!!:D

Jeff and others,
I deliberately put in the No interest option as it is a fair reflection for those not likely to buy Aussie figures. No offence taken.
Interesting votes so far.
Good to see we have 50 votes so far in about 30 hours so keep them coming.
Simmo, Please note that whilst Rob / Vandilay (as far as I know) will not be at the dinner in Brisbane :mad:there is a forum member who just happens to use the forum name Kiwi who I think will be:D. I will make a point of introducing you !!! Kiwi please note :):D!!!!!!!
Regards
Brett :)

'Well, now you come to mention it, since I gave up professional circket and took up banking as a living, it's been a bit of a downward slippery slope really.'

I confess I deliberately voted "no interest" to see if we could get Simmo to respond.:D:D
Actually would like to see Gallipoli. Not really interested in the Pacific.
Light Horse would also be good.

There doesn't seem to be much interest in the Pacific no matter what nationality your talking about. With the reputation of the USMC and the Australians you think there would be more interest.

i voted for north africa as im collecting the 8th army series at the moment & would like to add some australian sets to mine plus my grandad served in north africa during WW2 & i remember him talking about working along side australian american & if my memory's correct canadian troops during this time although it may have been the italy campaign for the latter

I also collect the North African Range and would like to see some more Aussie sets released as both earlier Aussie sets are now retired. The New Zealanders have their Dingo armored car, I reckon it's time the Aussies got a vehicle:

What about an Aussie Bren Gun Carrier :D

On a more personal level I'm especially pleased to see the demand for World War One with the Aussie charge at BEERSHEBA because my Grandfather was in the 12th Australian Light Horse which formed part of the charge. He didn't actually participate in the charge as he was in the ALH Military Mounted Police by that stage in the war and was mighty annoyed to have missed out on the LAST CAVALRY CHARGE IN HISTORY but he was there in spirit ;)

Not to rain on any AUSSIE PARADE - but, has anyone noticed the the #3 spot is for a lack of interest in any OZ figures !

Maybe if Andy added a Kangaroo - it would improve sales ;)

Yes Ron I did, but decided not to comment.
You're right of course, there doesn't seem to be much interest in any figures featuring Aussies on this forum. It's a shame, cos I'd love to have some mounted Australian figures on display in my house.

Some members had better check item #3 in Andy's recent Bibs and Bobs thread, you may have to eat some Crow soon, or Seminole in Ron's case ;) :D
