I have a question about the possibility of mixing these two brands.
King and country has some awesome napoleonic era figures and I’m considering adding some to my w.Britain collection. However each time I’m considering to buy I’m hesitant because I’m afraid the figures don’t match together (the K&C ones are a bit more buffy than W&B, or so it seems on pictures at least). To me w.Britain seems like the superior brand but King and Country have a lot of regiments etc that w.Britain has not yet produced (like the line grenadiers).

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with both the brands and could shed some light on this matter.

Thanks

I'd have to say they aren't really compatible. K&C is a bit larger, closer to 60mm and as you stated, are a bit bulkier. The painting style is a lot different as well. First Legion Mass Battle series may be your closest match for Britains.

I use both KC & WB in my Hougoumont display. They work fine together.

Great display! Do you have the WB's inside the courtyard sets as well?

Brendan
Thanks! Yes, see attached. There are some more inside too but I didn't capture them in the photo.

Terrific! Those figures of the French light infantry bursting through the gates and the British Guards trying to close them were some of my favourites, and I regret not buying them.

That britains set with the french flagbearer are a larger size than the other bitains or so it seems to me so it fits in better

Thanks again! The hinges on the gates are very fragile and a few of them have broken off. Besides holding the French out, the Guards are also holding the gates up!

Same they do work very well together, the FL mass battle are not standard size they are actually smaller than the standard FL Napoleonic, I purchased flag bearer and officer and they are very small, much smaller than even WB

Brendan you should keep an eye out on ebay as the North Gate Britain's sets come up regularly and can be quite reasonable if you have the time and a little patience.

Cheers Toddy
