Very well done Duke and a tip of the hat for doing something different and recognizing the WAAFs.

Thanks Brad. There were many important roles played during the course of WWII and all should be recognized for their contribution to the final victory.

Fully agree Brad!

Excellent scene Duke, really very good ^&cool. As you say WAAF's took on many different roles and several of them won gallantry medals for among other things staying at their posts during heavy raids and pulling wounded pilots from burning aircraft. Heroines of victory and great you've featured them in your scene my friend. :salute::

Rob

That road mat is excellent and so compliments the K&C scene.^&cool, Robin.

Very nice Duke, the backdrop accentuates the open field of the airfield. Nice ground works as well
guy:)

Great dio. Excellent photo with nice depth and distance perspective.

Thanks to all for the kind comments and "likes", it's much appreciated. :smile2:

Panzer ace,

Yes Rob is correct that the truck in the background is the K&C RAF Tilly.

What is the truck in the background?

Panzer ace,

I was trying to find a close up shot of the K&C RAF Tilly from my photos archive to give you a better look, but this is all I could find for now. It's a nice little vehicle and very useful for many types of RAF dios.

Found another.

It also has a removable cover for the back that I have taken off for these pictures.

Duke,

The attention to detail in the diorama is well done! I really like the plane!

Thanks so much to you and Rob for the info.

By the way, this is a great dio. I love the idea and the delivery of that concept is incredible.

Excellent Duke, the beaufighter works well with the K&C vehicles and as always, superb picture taking.

Tom

Always enjoy a good RAF diorama. The combination of ground vehicles, planes and personnel cannot be beat. ^&cool Looking forward to future developments in this line. Tip of the hat to K&C for recognizing and producing some females in their various lines. Women (and this is often forgotten) no doubt contributed greatly to the war effort both domestically and serving in the military on all sides. Female figures are a great conversation point when people look at my collection. What often gets overlooked is how difficult it was for women in the 40's because essentially it was a "man's" world. In some sense WWII really forever changed women's roles in western society. :smile2:
