Already exhausted, a Spitfire pilot takes his cup of tea and plops down in the grass, waiting on the next call to go back up in the skies to defend England...

Great set up! Very nicely put together. The Spitfire has a way of always looking eager to get back to the skies. Maybe the pilot is not so eager, but the tea will put him right.
