Great job on the old classic. I still have the one my father built me around 1963. It is still in good shape, with all the rigging and markings still in place. The model was first produced in the late 50's and has been reissued many times with a variety of different markings. Mine is also the Rickenbacker version. The Revell model has the early rounded style wingtips that the Spad 13 was initially built with. Rickenbacker's Spad was a later built version from Kellner, serial #4523, and should actually have the squared wingtips of this later model. Still, it is not a bad effort from Revell, especially for so early an effort. Revell also made a decent Sopwith Camel and Fokker Triplane in the same scale. They made a Fokker D-7 much later on that was not so good as it had several inaccuracies that were kind of inexcusable. The tripe, Camel, and Spad remain classics for Revell. -- AlNo - a Revell kit.
