Waiting for the fog to lift - WW 1 Aircrew (1 Viewer)

Ok, why aren't I surprised to see these very nice pics...hmm.. may be you were inspired by some planes you saw today somewhere? another Father and Son joint effort perhaps? either way well done.

Unfortunately like a rainy day - no son at all!

Wonderful scene. It looks like more fog is rolling in and will delay that mission a tad longer.

Randy did the fog, my father built the planes and photographed them and you built the hangar.

I am really enjoying this hobby!

Very nicely done, with lots of atmoshere. I really like the detail of the pilot (Ball) holding a prop with the Spad in the shot needing said prop. {bravo}} -- Al

Thanks! Just starting collecting the Jenkins German ground crew for a go with Wayne's hangar. They are very nice sets - and the manufactureres' thread is a touch less tense than elsewhere!

Hi Jack. Nice dio with the hanger and the JJD crew. I like the triplane. Is that the Revell 1/32 version that has been around for so long? If it is, it still looks great and holds up well. Also, what aircraft fuselage is on the floor of the hanger. The rudder/tail looks like a Sopwith. -- Al

Lancer - you have eyes like a hawk. It is indeed a Camel.

The kit was, I think, 1/28th Revell. My father made it many years ago and he has just started to get back into model making. He has got two or three from Wingnuts in NZ that he is working on a SE5a, a Pflaz and a Fe 2 (I think!). They are very, very impressive kits. Free postage too!

I have started buying the Jenkins ground crew and he is having fun with the camera making a few practise dioramas. Jenkins make some really nice stuff (prior to this I had barely looked at them) but they won't be getting any of my father's money. He likes the building part of it too much. They will have to content themselves with my money.

Regards

Jack
