A new shelf display in the making . . .

Waiting for "Indy" to arrive at the newly discovered archaeological site that dates back to the reign of King Solomon. Perhaps the long lost Ark of the Covenant is entombed here 😉

I don't think I've known Mike to be so pumped before ! 👍🏻
The enthusiasm is quite catching 🫡

LOL . . . Would you say you're easily amused Steve? Thought of you this morning when I saw the JJD weekly update introducing the Roman Gladiators. As far as my current plans for this shelf display, it will include K&C Desert Village buildings as well as DAK figures and vehicles. North Africa early 1941. And of course the cast of civilian characters that we already know.

Yes, why make life harder ! 😂

"Indy" and the Ark have arrived! Professor Jones is a great looking figure and certainly a welcomed addition to my collection. Now the Professor and crew start their search for the Ark.

Expected arrivals yet to come this week are The Desert Village Manger, The Desert Village Compound wall set, and The Opel Blitz Truck DAK Version.

My plan for this shelf is to depict what might have been a small desert village in North Africa circa 1938-1941 close to an archaeological site. The village is being used by the Germans as a supply point as well as a starting point for their search for the Ark. I think "Indy" will have his hands full. Will he be able to find the Ark before the Germans do 🤔

After taking more time to research the background and time frame for Raiders of the Lost Ark, my shelf will now take place in North Africa and Egypt in 1936. I realize that the DAK was an expeditionary force that was sent to North Africa in 1941 to bail out the Italians, but I still plan to populate my Desert Village with them because of their availability and also the use of artistic license 😉. Would like to see a Dr. Rene Belloq figure released. I will probably get the Gestapo Agent Toht but I'm still on the fence about that. A Marion Ravenwood as well as a Sallah figure would also be nice to have.
