Schwere Panzerabteilung 505 (505th Heavy Panzer Battalion) fought exclusively on the Eastern Front during World War II, primarily operating in the central and northern sectors.

Key battles and locations included:

• Kursk (Operation Zitadelle): July 1943, where the unit first saw action.
• Central Russia/Belarus: Fought near Roslawl, and in the Smolensk-Vitebsk-Orsha area from September 1943 until April 1944.
• Kowel: Moved to the Kowel area in Ukraine for two months in 1944.
• Withdrawal Battle: Retreated through Minsk and Grodno in June 1944.
• Poland & East Prussia: After refitting with Tiger II tanks in Germany, the unit returned to the front at Nasielsk, Poland, in September 1944, subsequently fighting in East Prussia until the end of the war.
• Final Actions: The unit retreated to the Pillau peninsula (Baltic coast) in April 1

The unit was known for acting as "firemen" to plug gaps in the German defensive lines during the retreat.

Pan, All are nice, but I like the winter one best. I like how the crescent-shaped cut out is present at the bottom of the turret in your pictures and also appears to be on the WP model in process. I guess this feature was not present on all KT's produced, and likewise, some models feature it while other don't. Thank you for the pictures.

Tiger I tank 243 was assigned to the German 501st Heavy Panzer Battalion (schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501) during the North African Campaign in 1942–1943. It operated in Tunisia as part of the 5th Panzer Army, and engaged in battles around Bizerte and Sidi Othman. I am looking forward to this model's release (soon I hope!) by War Park.
