These look great - I was thinking of using them in a Normandy Diorama, i have the 2 Radio Sets and and the 2 German soldiers on sitting on sandbags, plus the Officers. Using one of the K & C Bunkers and having the radio sets against the bunker wall, with the troops just sat around relaxing.

Yes. already ordered. These will be so useful. - Now awaiting the upcoming motorcycles. Hopefully early next year.

They look very nice! I would love to have some GI's in this kind of configuration.

Joe

I got this set of tank riders a few days ago and set them up on my John Jenkins Stug III in a “Battle of Kursk” vignette… They look perfect!

I have yet to purchase War Park, admittedly I am new to this and have been stuck on First Legion and Thomas Gunn figures so far, but these look very tempting. Curious if anyone has displayed them side by side with First Legion figures, are they noticeably different in finish and size?

Also is the paint finish on the figures as shiney as they come through in the pictures, anyone who has them wish they were a more matt finish? Thanks in advance for responses.

On a shelf it's pretty hard to tell the difference between War Park and First Legion figures.

First Legion are slightly more detailed, and these details show up somewhat in closeup photos, but they work great together. I mix and match them all the time.

These are very nice figures but they seem to be a bit larger than FL tank commander in pictures. Could it be the angle of the shots ?

The WP figures I tried were slightly larger than FL. WP figures have limbs that are just a bit thicker as well as slightly larger heads than FL. FL and WB are a closer match. So I think the difference you're seeing in the photo with the FL tank commander reflects reality and more or less illustrates what I'm trying to say.

I agree with HR. I display mine together a lot.

I have all three (FL, WP and WB) displayed together, plus some KronPrinz. Makes for a realistic grouping with some variations to my eye.

This differences are not like the ones between these manufacturers compared to K&C, TGM and Collectors Showcase. It’s much closer.

The tank commander and crew member in my Stug III in my photos below are both War Park figures (Commander is KU024 and crew is KU036). As for the size comparison, both War Park and First Legion, both are 1/30 scale and work well together, though as others noted, War Park is slightly larger than FL. Also, the WP figures are a bit shiny compared to FL figures. It’s more like some of the older FL Stalingrad Germans and Russians were. Newer FL figures definitely use flatter colors. But again, both WP and FL are very similar in terms of quality.

There's no hard and fast rule for size, and blanket statements like War Park figures are slightly larger than First Legion figures is not true.

War Park has more than one sculptor (there's at least two). One sculpts slightly smaller and is exactly the same size as most FL figures. One sculpts slightly chunkier with bigger heads (like the marching War Park Grossdeutschland figures). There's no rhyme or reason as far as I can tell, as there are some slightly larger and some slightly smaller figures in all of War Park's lines.

It's not really unique to War Park, as FL has some of this same size variation. All in all, everything goes together and blends in great. You may have the occasional size difference between figures that won't look great if placed directly next to each other, but I have that with FL figures too. Most all these size variations fall within human norms as well.

To illustrate, here's some recent War Park grey Germans and some of the War Park tank riders blended with First Legion Stalingrad Germans. They all blend great. The standing figures are the exact same size. The War Park tank riders all blend in fine too.

I agree that they can me mixed and work well together. Even though WP makes a slightly thicker figure than FL and WB, it's not a different scale like K & C, and CS.

Very nice arrangement on the Stug of the new tank riders. Noticed some of the riders have particular indentations where they would contact the tank, so they were built for a particular tank. They work well with any tank, but was wondering on which tank the indentations would match. I placed mine on a PzIVG, two color camo and they look great!
