War Park New Release in March - DAK Assault Team (2 Viewers)

Many years ago I got First Legion AK motorcycle and sidecar combo's x3 and scout vehicle. They were so small compared with other manufacturers and was a huge disappointment 😔

Looking forward to these especially with the changing seasons, it always feels strange buying desert figures in the fall/winter.

I didn't know that DAK had its own RAMBO !!!.
Totally unrealistic but quite impressive pose.

It would be even more realistic if the bipod was collapsed and the figure was holding both legs of the bipod together, but the pose is a legitimate WW2 German infantry tactic for machinegun assault fire while on the move.

Here's a German training film showing the technique (starts at 16:45):

Very interesting footage Hunter Rose.
I had never seen it before and I really couldn't imagine that it was possible to shoot that way with the recoil of a weapon as powerful as a MG42.
In all archive films or photos that I have been able to view all these years there was no such way of shooting with a heavy machine gun.
Do you know if there are other "Lehrfilm" that it would be possible to view ( especially with tanks such Panthers or Tigers) ?.

There are a number of German training films on YouTube.

Here's one on Panzerjäger and Panzergrenadier tactics in how to seal off and defeat a Russian penetration of the German lines:

Here's one for the Panther. Kind of cool at one point it shows a Panther crewman opening the rear turret hatch to extinguish a fire on the engine deck (like from a Molotov cocktail):

As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
