Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow, NZ Biplane Display (1 Viewer)

Great video mate but they talk funny SEX biplanes i thought there was SIX.................{sm4}

Toddy, I'd love to see what the site has but I keep getting 'dangerous site' warnings. ^&confuse -- Al

That's a shame Al, because it's only one of our main TV news site's. Maybe try TV One News NZ and once you get onto the main page, search for 'Warbirds over Wanaka' 2014. The Biplane clip is off 6x biplanes which featured on either Thursday or Friday's news last week. It's quite good, because it shows a very rare Sopworth tri plane.

NZ Movie Director Peter Jackson owns a few biplanes too now and is a big collector of WW1 TS stuff as well.

Lets know how you get on?

Thanks Toddy. Got in through TV One. Looks like it was a grand time. Spotted the Bristol F2b along with the Sopwith tripe and the unusual DH-5 with the backwards wing stagger. Liked the Fokkers, tripes and D-7, and the Pfalz. Everything is better with 2 or 3 wings. Great aircraft. Thanks for posting it. -- Al

That's awesome Al, I know there's more than one or two biplane enthusiasts on TF and it's not often you see so many flying in one spot. A bit of a shame they didn't show more really. I know they release a DVD of the airshow later in the year and judging from some of the regulars at this years show, this one has been the best thus far. It's also amazing the number of overseas fans who attend, especially from the US and Europe.

Cheers Toddy

Not only that but you would want to be careful how you pronounce 'WANAKA'.......:wink2:^&grin
