Hi all,
Firstly, many many thanks to Clive Gande for graciously allowing me to drive over to pick up my first WOR order from Grey Goose Collectables. Also treated to a visit to his showroom – an absolute Aladins Cave for any Toy soldier Collector. Just awesome!!
Well, onto WOR – I think the long wait has been more than justified. The figures are incredibly well painted. The detail really does have to be seen in the flesh – the eyes in the vision slits of the helmets just blew me away. I have tried to capture the overall detail in the photo’s (a bit of an impossible task really.) The series also has its own snazzy box label. Nice touch.
The figures in the two Billmen sets do appear to be the same – BUT they wield different Pole weapons and there’s a slight variation in the placement of the arrow in the ground and of course a different paint job.
Placed attacking each other in a melee and I feel the sameness of the poses would not be at all apparent.
I wish much success to this (hopefully, long running) series.
Cheers,
Roy
