Wars of the Roses – picked up my first order today! (2 Viewers)

Old Bill;

Thank you for this post of your outstanding collection of this series !
You also have a few unique figures that I have not seen (except in your posts).

It would seem from replies to the thread that you may not be in the minority...it appears that I may be, although for many years I was a member of the "Richard III Society"...the 'Across the Pond' branch...for the time, it was a great source of information and publications on the last Plantagenet.

Thank you for your kind words Ivanhoe.

I'm a bit taken aback - I've obviously vastly underrated the Yorkist support on here! No offence to any Henry Tudor supporters meant or intended :eek:
Apologies to both sides :salute::

The Richard III Society is still going from strength to strength!

Thank you for the update (and photo) on the Richard III Society..._THE RICARDIAN_ had all kinds of great articles on Richard III and Yorkist history that in the pre-internet days, could not be found, especially in the States.

Re: Wars of the Roses – picked up my first order today!

Received my latest WoR figure from TF on Friday. It is the absolutely gorgeous RYork 02, the Man-at-Arms with banner of Richard III. This is a terrific mounted figure with a beautiful banner. This figure brings my collection to a total of 31 sets encompassing 37 figures. My Yorkists still outnumber the Lancastrians 22 to 15, but that will change with time and the new Raven retinue. The one thing I make sure of is getting my hands on the figures with the banners as soon as possible as I really love the color and variety of the flags. Still need to get archers, especially for the Red Rose crew whose lone archer is feeling badly overmatched by the 7 White Rose archers (thanks to JJD's GT prizes). This really is a very interesting and enjoyable series to collect. Glad I made the decision to get into it, even though my knowledge of the period is still basic. -- Al

I am the opposite, need more Yorkists! Happy to be in this range as well. The only one that I am fully collecting right now. Still trying to catch up with all the releases. That new artillery set will be a must have! Everything else I collect now are just odds and ends in various ranges and manufacturers to add variety to my collection displays. :salute::
