Starting to dig into my cache of K&C sets to build the dioramas I always envisioned when I bought each one that peaked my imagination the first time I saw them many years ago. Here's the great American Revaluation sets I got maybe 20 years ago. They make a great little diorama and a break from all the WWII and VN stuff I've been building lately.....

Great figures and what a great diorama packed with action.
I love the scene and the set up. Your diorama looks stunning, so much detail and very realistic building and your stone wall is top( both scratch built ?)

wonderful setup, these are among the best K&C figures released, cheers

Not my area of interest at all Pat but you do, do it well look, good mate.

I missed the boat on this K&C series all retired now but collection looks great indeed.

Very nice! This was one of the main series that I collected from K&C (alongside Napoleonics). Here's hoping that K&C decide to revisit this era again soon.

Well done Pat, you've done a very good job on your diorama and it certainly shows the K&C figures superbly ! :salute::

Love these figures. I wish they were still available.
I don't think anyone would moan if these were re-issued.
And the British of course
Fingers crossed.

Less than four years to the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution if you start with Lexington and Concord in 1775.
There should be a lot of interest rekindled for this milestone.

Pat,

This is my kind of dio!! Well done. The part that stands out to me the most is the stone wall. That is very life-like. May I ask what you used to make that?

And I whole heartedly agree with the others who think K&C should hop back in to the AWI.

Awesome work Pat........thanks for posting.

Great looking diorama and I agree with others that the stone wall is really a standout. I have many of these figures as well and this scene is making want to get them back out for a set up. Well done Pat.

Logically, bringing back the Rev War series makes sense.

1. It appeals to your target audience; US and UK.
2. Reissuing old figures is viable, as with a mere change of facings, a new regiment can be depicted. Minor changes in equipment (knapsacks, canteens, etc) can be used to swap figures from one side to the other.
3. We are approaching the 250th anniversary very quickly.

Oh dear .. that's scary, I remember travelling in UK in 1976 and seeing many of the special exhibitions on in the museums, like the Maritime Museum and Army Museum.

I wonder if that will happen again in 2026 ????

Good 'excuse' to bing more figure out ??

Hi Guys
Sorry for the late thanks to the comments and answers to questions. The wall is made of airdried clay, as are parts of the base (the wagon wheeled, rutted road). The building is a converted old Verlindin façade that I upscaled for the diorama. This was the first series of K&C I collected after seeing it in a store in Georgetown, DC. It rekindled my love of toy soldiers that I left behind in my teenage years, and started on my journey to collecting again. I have hundreds of sets I bought, each triggering a diorama in my imagination, but alas, I have no more space in my "macho room" so will build them and sell them off to other collectors to enjoy. Glad you all liked this-its for sale in the classified section at a great price
Pat
