Yesterday I received the newly released WB ACW casualty sets 31233 "Down and Out" Federal wounded set, 31234 "Costly Ground" Federal Dead, and 31241 "Company Losses" Confederate Dead. All three sets (6 figures) are very nicely done and they have already been placed on my dio table to add that "terrible swift sword" aspect of a battle field. I can not think of any other manufacturer today that has offered so many casualty variants to a TS range. The WB ACW wounded and dead sets are some of my favorite figures. I currently have 25 different Confederate wounded and dead casualty figures, 19 of which are/were made by WB. I also have 28 different Union wounded and dead figures, 21 of which were made by WB. Considering how brutal the Civil War battle field was (for that matter, any battle field) you just can't have enough casualty figures . . . . WB certainly has delivered on this . . . .

Great pick ups Mike. Your dio scenes are very life like. I asked Ken to make some Union casualty figs about a yr ago. :smile2: Hoping we get some company grade officers for the firing line next. Chris

Great additions to your collection! As you said, casualties where extremely high, and with these wounded figures you have manged to recreate a very lifelike Civil War diorama. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Brendan

You are right Mike. I rarely pass up on casualties in the ACW range either and was very happy to see the new Britain's pieces. They are looking good in your battle scene.

Thanks Chris . . . . I am glad Ken heeded your suggestion . . . . . still looking for limbers . . . .

Thank you Brenden . . . . . Casualties are a must have for any battle field dio and WB easily facilitates that need.

Thanks Dan . . . I would advise not passing up on these . . . . Also, because of your interest in the Iron Brigade, set 31233 Union wounded gives you the option to use either Forage Caps or Hardee (Black) Hats.

A few artillery crew casualties would be nice also
Kirk

Kirk, the WB sets that go with the Cushing's Battery series has one artillery casualty somewhat sitting on the ground and then of course the wounded figure of Lt. Cushing . . . .
:smile2: Mike

those look great Mike...nice pick up...and considering the Civil War...you really can't have too enough "casualty figures" on your table...

Nice additions Mike and like you my Zulu battle had a high death toll. The numbers in my collection are rising too albeit slowly :)

Scott...

Joe Quintini used to tell me...

when displaying your Rorke's drift figures...

"you can't have enough dead Zulus"...

just like I said to Mike on his Civil War casualty figures...

Forgot aboiut the Cushing sets . I don't have these . Hoping for individual casualties .

Thanks Mike

Regards
Kirk

Thanks Scott . . . . Casualty figures are certainly a must have for AZW

Looks like someone was having a bit of fun!

Just a bit KV, just a bit . . . . . :wink2:

Mike, again in total agreement on casualty figures. They will complete a battle scene and helps present the tragedy of the fighting. Chris

Ditto that Chris . . . . . . just can't do a battle scene/dio justice without numerous casaulty figures . . .
