WB to do War Along the Nile Series (1 Viewer)

I hope the previous posts have given a good pictorial overview of what a Tel-El-Kebir series for War Along the Nile might contain and look like. I would definitely welcome Khartoum and Omdurman but Tel-El-Kebir makes sense historically to set up these later campaigns.

One other thought: With the forthcoming issue of 2 figures of the Black Watch 1882 in the glossy Redcoats series I think it would be great to do Tel-El-Kebir in both matte and gloss. I would collect both versions.

Thanks for the picture Randy

I've got a few of those made by a Toy Soldier manufacturer no longer with us;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Beau Geste recently did 2 sets of these

Excellent, Egyptians in summer uniform;). They look very good mixed with troops wearing winter uniform as one of your previous pictures shows:cool:

How about an armoured train manned by the Naval Brigade and carrying one 40pdr and two 9pdr guns, a Nordenfeldt and two Gatling machine-guns

Martyn, Thank you for the three drawings. They look great, and I think you're right, it would be great for the series. Britain could even commission a regular train manufacturer to make the train set and the rail; a kind of co-production :).

And that's exactly where I hope they start...with the Camel Corps at Abu Klea.
Really looking forward to the War Along the Nile.

Tel-el-kebir has interesting possibilites but I would prefer the British fighting the Dervishes instead of the Egyptians which wasn't much of a fight at all.

I just know WB will do a good job;).The subject matter interests me as its something different for me.
