Welcome Back!! The Forum has a new look! (1 Viewer)

I cannot find older posts or threads of mine either???? are they gone are in the kinks trying to get fixed?? kinda reminds me of the canadian toy soldier forum which is a little confusing...Sammy
I dislike the color...too hard to see things! When I click on any link it takes twice as long to open as before...maybe part of the process?

Treefrog Green is back! Thanks Pete.

This beige colour is easy on the eye, poor Pete's going to be sat there all day trying different shades on us!:D

Rob

And as I take 10 minutes to figure out how to post that the background turns back to green before I can post it!
Whats with this quick reply stuff with any smiles or options? And I think the inside of the post should be white and the border green, the green on green is allmost as bad as the all white????
How about we just fix everything so it looks just like it did before???
The members name up in the corner of the post needs to be larger also it should at least be larger then his rank. Its hard to see who posted what.

Yes, I noticed that in the My Profile section, too. Background was dark green, when I first entered the page a couple of minutes ago, but it changed to this cream color as I was updating and saving changes.

Prost!

We're playing with colors on the fly...so things may change a bit here and there.

This isn't perfect...but better. Unfortunately, there's work to be done today other than just the forum, so we'll be in and out on this.

I enjoy reading the posts on this fomur almost daily, rarely post but want to continue to read the posts, but the color is too bright, hard on the eyes. A warm toned color would be welcomed. Just my opinion.

Sammy, go to your My profile page, and in the upper left corner, in the box that shows your avatar, there are links to find all of your own posts, and threads that you'd authored.

Prost!

Yo Peter, the cream background looks good to my old eyes its easy to read.

Very classy, like vellum! Or like the center of a Boston cream doughnut...mmmm, doughnuts, aghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghlghl!

Doughnuts!.........mmmmmmmmmm!

Thanks Peter for all your hard work. I like the new look. I'm sure the missing functionality will return as you learn the software.
My only suggestion would be to have the threads run from OLDEST to latest (the reverse of the current order) so I don't have to scroll down to start reading.

Well done - and THANK YOU!

It might be a setting that you can configure for your forum account, too, in your profile. For me, they're defaulting as oldest to newest, and I'm pretty sure I have that defined as a preference. This is off the top of my head, but I'll have a quick look in my profile, to confirm.

Prost!

First off I have a computer question . I'm running Vista and I'm sure that has something to do with it. Interent Explorer message is blocking this site from downloading files......when I click options and try to download I get this message" .app_content_51546247891 a.uiLinkSubtle { display: none; }
.app_content_51546247891 a.UIImageBlock_ICON_Image { display: none; }

#bootloader_Zvucx { height: 42px; }
I've tried to look into my security settings but still can not get rid of this annoying Explorer message after clicking on anything in the Forum. I've never had this issue before.Always just hit download and it excepted it.
The New layout...not impressed so far.I think the lighter colour makes it harder to read.Maybe it's just my old eyes. Also its harder to just look at each topic and see which is the newest as far as date.They use to be in bold text that made it easier to go to the latest posts. I appreciate all the work our hosts do to keep the forum operational and I'm sure I will get use to the new look. I deal with updates all the time at work and sometimes even though they are suppose to be better they sometimes just are not.

Hey, Pat, it is a setting in your profile. Go to:

My profile > Settings > General Settings > Thread Display Options > Thread Display Mode

and you can set your default display preference.

Not just you I am having the same issue and I am running XP although mine downloads and opens in notepad. I tried it in Google Chrome and didn't have any problems. Only seems to have just happened as I was using it earlier this morning with no problems.

It's much slower.Reminds me of other forum'splatforms or whatever you call it.Comcast who I have is great for changing something as soon as you get use to it.Why oh why can't things be left alone if their running properly.:(:confused::rolleyes:

This appears to be a facebook issue and affects IE versions 7 and up. It is associated with any page that has the facebook like button embedded in it, whether you use facebook or not or click the like button or not. It appears to have happened today.

Until facebook fixes it I think the only solution is to perhaps use another browser (Mozilla or Chrome for example) or the owners of the page in this instance Treefrog remove the facebook embedded icon.

I have temporarily taken off the Facebook connection while this gets sorted out.
