Welcome to the Christmas ‘Collector’ (2 Viewers)

Made my funds transfer yesterday for the Wittmann set, the Israeli set and Rommel's Adler. The shop was really crowded and lots of collectors picking up stuff.

Picked up the Collector as well. Looking forward to the Stug III and the Assault Gun Crew.

Rgds,Chris

I know online buying is all the rage, but there is always something quite special about popping into a store to buy some TS and would love to visit HK at some stage.

Great to hear retailers doing well and folks keen to make a purchase in person when they can.

I know I sound old school but you can't beat that personal touch in my opinion.

Cheers and Merry Xmas to one and all. :salute::

Good job I left you in there. 😂

Happily my Collector Magazine and all the flyers and promos was waiting in the letter box when I got home

Hi Mate,
Delighted to agree with you...Although I buy some of my collection 'on line'...Nothing beats going into a real, live toy soldierstore or attending a great show and seeing a piece or two in a display cabinet or on a table and saying, "Can I have a closer look..?"

Then inspecting the piece or pieces, making my decision, handing over the dosh and...exiting stage left with the aforementioned selection(s) to take home ...or on the recent Euro visit back to the hotel... And there to unwrap or debox once more and admire.

On the recent trip... I made purchases in Rome (more Swiss Guards and not by K&C either). Then in Paris (a beautiful Napoleonic piece). And finally in London...Several different Parade figure sets of mostly Highland Regiments and one Royal Navy set.

A whole lot of fun too!
Best Festive Greetings to one and all,
Andy.

...this new issue of 'Collector' has many great looking figures......in the 'Triumph of her Will' section.....who is LAH228 meant to represent? I've read the article a few times but I'm not able to identify this figure....?
