Hi Guys,
Greetings from beautiful downtown Irvine...Well Patrick, Helen, and yours truly arrived safe and sound yesterday afternoon. One little interesting bit of information...Rod Stewart's ex-wife Rachel Hunter and daughter were on the same Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong to LA...Rachel was looking nice but I had to stop her from pestering me for some free samples for her ex-husband who is also a toy soldier collector!
Anyway, we are all here at the Irvine Marriott. However most of our packages containing our dioramas and new figures were kindly held up by US customs in Anchorage in Alaska. Good news though they will arrive later this afternoon and tomorrow morning...fingers crossed. In the meantime, here is the first little batch of photos showing Gordon's French 1914 fortification display...I know some of you have seen at least one photograph of this but I thought you might like to see different angles.
Over the next few days we will be posting more "official" photos of the special displays Gordon has been building for the show. After we left Hong Kong yesterday we unlocked Gordon's chain and let him move around the workshop freely...he seems very happy. We have also authorized extra rations and additional blanket for him...I am sure you will agree he deserves both. On that happy note I will bid you all a fond adieu...adios...and hiyo silver!
Andy C.
P.S. The official monthly dispatches for March will be released on Monday March 1.
