It was very nice to have the opportunity to meet Joseph Neumeyer at this year's Westcoaster. I have long been a fan of his stunning dioramas. You can view the whole gamut of his creations at www.dynamicdioramas.org. (Surely, many of us already have this site bookmarked.) At the entry hall of the Westcoaster, Joseph's latest project was on display and WOWED us all. The detail was unbelievable, as was the amount of shear custom work involved in the production. Joseph pointed out many areas that required scratch building and ingenuitive fabrication of an other-worldly skill level. One detail I really enjoy Joseph's explanation of was how this was the 25th mission for the Memphis Belle, and there are markers on the outside of the plane for each mission. Well the plane kit came w/ markings for 25 completed missions. Joseph, missing no detail, was sure to remove the 25th marker, as his depiction of the famous bird captures the moments in preparation for said flight. Therefore, his creation has markers that indicate 24 completed missions, not 25. Here are a few detail shots of a Joseph's astounding work...enjoy the pics and visit his site for tons more.

Those pics are some of the best yet, each one has a story in itself, this dio rates up there imo with Panda, UKREB, Lt. Playsetaddict, Carlos, Firebrat, bad idea, can't remember or try to name them all, you get my point.:)

Well done Joe great pic,s now if only a TS company would release all of these great vehicles/figures/buildings for us less skilled mortals either German/Allied or both ^&grin i would be a happy man,but this set up is simply BRILLIANT.

joesgis,

Thank you for posting these great shots of an outstanding display.

I have enjoyed studying the weathered pattern on the B-17 and the detailed interior of the control tower.

Raymond.:)
