What about Alymer (1 Viewer)

Hello Tono and all,

Now you've piqued my interest with those chariots! I hope that you will sell these as single castings for modellers like myself.
For those who can't wait, I came across this website for archival pics:

Hi Vic ( and Tono - if you're looking in). They look just great - including that GS Wagon - which looks like it could form the basis of MANY vehicles - as I made up one of those as a horse-drawn Ambulance a while ago. The standard looks first class - from these early pics. So............just waiting now for the Alymer catalogue to go on-line, and see what may be available. Sounds as if Tono IS an enthusiast too - which might bode well for us painters Vic - who like to get hold of decently cast figures/vehicles etc, to paint for ourselves.

I must say, I've been looking at some online pics of the "Banners Forward" range ( Just input Banners Forward into Google Images - and loads of them come up), which are whetting my appetite for some castings ( maybe I should say ALL of the castings^&grin^&grin), that may be available for the future. So.........sorry Andy, IF I can get hold of unpainted castings of the Medieval range, I would much prefer to paint my own, rather than buy previously painted versions. Cheers! jb

Just realised - that Alymer used to do some pretty cool French Foreign Legion figures - from the 1910 period - so there might be plenty of collectors out there who collect them too (like me). It would be nice if they too were to become available once again as castings. Looks like lots of my pocket money might be going South for the forseeable future. jb

Hi all,

I attached some new photos, you will find some articles that never be on the catalogue but the molds are done, like the Kuvelwagen.

I hope you enjoy them.

Tono Martí

As i want offer some pieces on kit, we are working in the old pieces to obtain more detail a better look after paint the figure.
In each photo, the old piece is at left side, compare with the new one.
Incredibly the US cavalry officer hasn´t sabre so we must do a new one, the Captain Jean Danjou is one of the more than 50 figures in 90mm unedited.

Hello Soldadomania,

Nice samurais but these were deTara Models 54mm and Poste Militaire 90mm respectively, correct? If Alymer has acquired the deTara moulds, I would be interested.

Este samurai a caballo es original de Alymer, esta realizado hace unos años y la peana es de madera de olivo, el número de fabricación esta en la placa dorada de la peana y no es de Tara creo.

Hello Soldadomania,

I took the trouble to google translate your reply and I think you mean that both samurai figures are Alymer.

For that first figure, I know that to be a deTara figure kit as I had bought one too.

But the second figure, upon closer looking of the photo, is probably Alymer as you have indicated. The pose was so similar to the old 90mm Poste Militaire samurai that I got mixed up. I attach a link to the PM figure, now made by Bonapartes.

Hello Tono,

Do you have a website for your resurrected Alymer products? It would give you a global platform for your customers.
