What do you collect of First legion?? (1 Viewer)

But not as well as FL could do them!:D
"will" do them; let's make sure we keep the verb and tense right for this discussion.:D I do think though friend Gebhard was referring to my incessant suggestion/pontification/pleading.;):D

Sure hard to get one past you my friend :D I'm pretty sure Mr Matt has addressed the 95th question several times over the last year or so, I'll have to look through some of his old post . In the long haul First legion will I'm sure produce certain units that have been covered before by others , But IMO nobody comes close to what's being done by First Legion . I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do when they decide to turn their attention to the 95th . It would be a sure winner as I think they have a large following ;) Just hope for Bill's sake they are action poses otherwise Matt will never hear the end of it :)

My mistake!

About the Scots Greys
Any idea on that??

I would like to see something different how about the Blues or the Kings dragoon Guards , The Royals , 1st or 2nd Life Guards ( Always loved the Helmet ) or The Inniskillings ....but if First Legion do the Grey's I'll be in as well . I would really love to some British Heavies

Yes, Matt has also said we will be getting some British Heavy Dragoons and that they would not initially be the Greys. He has also said he liked the dragoon helmets. So I think it is safe to say it will be one of the Guard or low numbered Dragoon Regiments.;)

I would love to have the Heavies appear. I have a Tinbay.com Inniskilling Dragoon. I would like to see them done by First Legion. The Blues would be my second choice. To move back to Borodino, Saxon Heavy cavalry would be a great release also.

Gebhard,

Do you know how my wife is calling the 'plumes' of my napoleonic figures ? Take a few seconds to guess .................................. SWIFFERS :)))))

I love her so much but I told her not to use her swiffers to clean my figures :)

Cheers,

Alex

Beautiful Multi colored Swiffers!
That is an awesome painting of the Saxons Gebhard! They would make an inspiring diorama going agains the Russian Guards heavy cavalry.

Alex ,
Shes is not that far off , come to think of it that's a pretty good comparison to something from the modern world , But like you I would not be to excited about using one to clean my figures . :)

The Russian Guards Cav vs Saxon cavalrymen from The two regiments Lieb Guard and that of Zastrov's :eek: That would fulfill a long time dream  . But remember what Lauter-Maubourg said to the Guard before the charge " Your breast plates have not come but the Regiment doesn't need them to support its reputation for honour " . So if I was given the choice I would prefer Zastrov's Cuirassiers with their black breastplates :) , But hey since were dreaming... dream big , I'll also take the 1st Westphalian Cuirassiers :D
The painting is by the Great Mark Churms entitled Die Uberlebenden ( the Survivors) and shows a Saxon Gardes du Corps Officer and The Survivors of the French heavy cavalry attack on the Great Redoubt at the Battle of Borodino . Notice no breastplates , His work is very nice and I would highly recommend his prints to you , he covers a wide range of Military subjects . All the best my friends Gebhard

I like FL because the size is "perfect".. Other manufacturers are way too bulky!

This company should do 1936 SS Party Rally
All else they do is nothing

Not a bad idea.. FL would be a nice job with parade figures..

While FL could do parade figures, I hope Matt stays away from the SS or Nazi Party parade figures. I think these have much less appeal to the wider market than other figure themes. Besides, it has already been covered by other companies.
