What Do You Like Most From King and Country ? (1 Viewer)

Easy question.Quality, realism, scope of subject, price and service. The best there is no doubt:)

I like the Napoleonics the best and most specifically the Drummer boys and The Napoleonic Cavalry at rest sets.

There are a number of good things about K & C, and few bad :)

But after having a good think about what I like most, I reckon the best thing is the fact that K & C dare to be different. They continue to make Russian and Japanese figures that they know don't sell so well together with controversial ranges such as LAH and Waffen SS. Not to mention fantasy Luftwaffe aircraft and Assasination sets. Not everyone wants these of course, but with K & C you get the chance to buy them if you do want them.

Aside from the products, which I obviously love, the thing I like the best are the friendships that I've made as a result of this hobby, which I wouldn't have but for King and Country. Having friends like Andy, Louis, Shannon, George, Bill Sager and Chuck have made a big difference and life wouldn't be the same without them.

A big treat for me has been to pick up Andy at the airport the last two years for the Symposium. I wouldn't trade that time together just chewin' the fat for anything, not even a Warbird.

Not even a really cool warbird?

Hi Guys,

On behalf of myself and all of us at King & Country I would like to thank everyone who wrote in to the “What do you like...” thread on the Forum. It really does mean a lot to us when all our hard work and effort is appreciated.

I would also like to thank Shannon and Pete for setting up this Forum. It’s simply the best one out there. Through the Forum K&C (and I hope Treefrog) have found hundreds of new collectors and customers. Plus lots of new friends.

On that “friendship” note I would like to also thank all of the “Treefroggers” for their comments (good and bad)...their suggestions (many and varied)...and their enthusiasm (unbounded) for toy soldiers, military miniatures, fighting vehicles, displays, dioramas, books, movies...and even Mars Bars!

Keep it up and...happy collecting!

Andy C.

I rather like the Collector Magazines and the promotional leaflets.
They are always worth a look and are pretty informative.
I like the way they tell you a bit of the story behind the figures rather than just show a product and description.
They are very well put together.

WOW! This is like asking a parent to pick a favorite child!
I like it all especialy the scultping.A wonderful paint job is just wasted on a poor sculpt.
My favorite right now is a toss up between the WW II and the Rev.
war.
As long as Andy and his team keep up the quality. and of course pushing the envelope on design. I for one will keep spending.(Imagine a Scot using the phrase"keep spending.").
O.C.

What Do You Like Most From King and Country?

My list...
Style of sculpting & painting.
Huge variety
Large selection of WWII pieces.
New items to look forward to each month.
Nicely done brochures with softcopies available.
Nice packaging.
Special pieces (Strictly limited, Supersize, Top Secret, UK exclusive)
Andy's consistent excellent decision-making and risk-taking

Though St. Petersburg has the most detailed painting, even if prices were comparable, I enjoy my K&C figures more. I even prefer the durable feel of the K&C figures.

Other than the obvious.......(they are EXCELLENT).....I like the fact that Andy takes the time to speak to us one on one.....WHICH REMINDS ME.....ANDY HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE FIELD HOSPITAL SCENE FOR THE NAPOLEONICS WE ONCE SPOKE ABOUT...I KNOW YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA??

WELLINGTON

Wellington, that is a very good point. We have fantastic access to the man in charge and its easy to forget how rare that is.Its another great thing about K&C and also another reason why this forum has become very infuential in the toy soldier world.
