Hi Everyone, I've not purchased a CS item before, but really like the look of their Normandy "88".

Was wondering what CS collectors thought of the piece and its accompanying crew and add-on sets? Value you for money, any faults etc....

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.{sm4}

Thanks Toddy

Hi Toddy

I am happy with my CS Normandy 88 and crew as well as the halftrack that tows it. I had my heart in my mouth however as i knew there were lot's of parts on the 88 that could have been broken during transit but it's all good. Quality is good as well and it's good value.

Regards

Tom

I can't fault it as said when it was released and when I recieved my winter variant. Good detail and nice animated crew poses. I like that you could buy the wheel sets if you wanted or, the prime mover as seperate and add on crews. You were really incharge of what you spent.

Having had the DAK 88mm I new it would be detailed and, always worry about damage but, it was well packed. I have adhered my sheild to the gun as I am not keen personally on moving parts or, taking the sheild on and off.

In relation to the 88mm I thought it was well worth the money

I have the winter version. You do have to position the shield just right, but it is easy enough. My seat was not glued properly when I got it, but that was a very simple fix. It is an excellent piece with great looking crew. I think CS has come from having kind of zombie-like figures 2-3 years ago to having figures that are very well-painted, with lots of animation, and a high-degree of realism. A lot of people say their pieces are great for the money. To be honest, they are better than that. They make great looking pieces period. Most collectors would be very happy with the 88.

Thanks heaps for replying Tom, Mitch and 6th Wisconsin, its greatly appreciated:smile2:

Sounds to me like the "88" and add-on sets are as good as they look. I'm mainly a K&C collector and don't have any CS....as yet, so your feedback has been invaluable.

I long missed out on K&C's 88, crew and halftrack years ago and its resale value is through the roof, even the half track goes for crazy money.{eek3}

Looks like a CS purchase is on the cards.

Cheers fella's

I also have the 88mm Flak and wheels in the temperate paint scheme and like it very much. Although I plan to do some additional detailing and a repaint, I believe it is a good value and would highly recommend it.
