Hi all:

I am new to treefrog? I am helping a collect figure out what he owns. So I have a few interest, and I believe early King and Country Glossy. Thought it might be fun for you to see some stuff, and helpful to me, in figuring out what they are.

thanks for the help. and I hope the photo comes out ok.

They are Camel Corps figures, Madras Horse Camel Troop to be exact. Nice figures. I have a few of the Camel Corps.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Is your friend just trying to figure out what he has or doing so for resale?

Hi

Thanks, for the help. I will try to get up some more photos tomorrow. My understanding is that he will donate the collection.

No problem. Glad to help. I love the K & C glossy.

Very nice. I have a couple of these. These are Australian New South Wales Lancers.

Wouldn't mind having a couple more :wink2:

Cool, thanks again...it is interesting, I went on line and put in put in King and country, and just did not find them. King and country seem to have nothing on there site for any of their old glossy stuff.

Yes, it is true that K & C doesn't have a history on their site but the place to go is toysoldiersusa.com and look at the Brochures section.

The above figures are Afghans.

Wow, this is great, thank..the collection has a bunch of the Hong Kong series, so intesting to see how they are grouped...thanks again

No problem. Glad to help. When I first started collecting K & C about nine years ago and someone mentioned to me the above website, I printed out all the old brochures, which I still have, except for the old brochures I picked up along the way. Does your friend have any of the old brochures?

Brad

just one small one that came in a box of HK figures, not much info

Sounds like one of those cards they used to insert in a lot of their sets.

Ask Tom Dubel (tdubel on the Forum). I believe he's pretty knowledgeable about them.

Are you the person who sells on eBay from Newport. I think I recognize the style of photos :smile2:

These are Kingcast, they are quite fragile to ship anywhere as they are very delicate legs. I think I have at least 3 sets and they have all been professionally reinforced and fixed over the last few years.

Yes, I have sold a ton of figures over the last year for the Hobby shop in Newport.
