Has anyone ever performed a study on the side effects from prolonged exposure to Polystone ? Just wondering ..... :)

There probably has not been a study, but the effect would likely be less than exposure to the early lead based soldiers or some of the toxins in modern plastic and resin based figures. Of course, most collectors don't lick their toys. :)

Have never exposed myself to Polystone,but hey whatever turns you on;):D

The only side effect to prolonged collecting of Polystone I can see is a superior collection of Tanks and fighting figures!:cool:.I know some folk prefer the older wooden models and some prefer the plastic of Tamiya kits(I made plenty of them when I was younger),but I'll stick with Polystone.As Terry said lead Soldiers have always raised concerns about young children sucking on them and getting ill.

" concerns about young children sucking on them and getting ill." may raise the concern that it may be already to late for some . I would recommend that no one should ever put any toy in their mouth, expose themselves to it or most certainly try and refrain from kissing them. And that goes not just for children , I'm sure this could pose a significant health risk and this is a Family friendly forum with children looking in ;) All the best

What is it that makes K&C the best? Obviously their is no one simple answer. However to me the balance between releases, marketing, cost and quality is something they excel at. I don't think they are necessarily the best at any one thing but its the cummulative level of excellence across the board that when tallied up puts them in the lead. The analogy I'd make is that they are like a student who although isn't getting all A's their overall grade average is the best, they are consistent. For example, other high end manufacturers make better figures and vehicles however they are WAY more expensive and usually not released in as great a depth. One thing I have always liked about K&C is their focus on a wide variety of WWII battles and the exceptional and unique sculpts/poses for their figures. :cool: Lastly many manufacturers are trying to immitate them with the scale of their figures and battles covered, this really is the ultimate compliment to K&C.
