Okay I never thought about meeting members, so that is #1 on my list.

When we pick up our pins, does it have a space to write our forum names if we wish to?

Hi Mike, You're going to have to take a rain check or detour for #6. Mandi is staying back at Frog Central this year, holding down the fort during the show. However she does work every Monday through Friday and Wisconsin's not that far from Treefrog Treasures so you really should pop over and come see the place (and meet Mandi too!).

Thanks to some help from our good friend Nasir, I will be meeting a seller at the Chicago Show to pick up an HB Jagdpanther and will be bringing a Gold Edition Tiger home with me by the end of the Show, so my shopping list is all taken care of and I haven't even left for the show.

Thanks Nasir!! What a great guy!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Hello All,
In my earlier posting I said I wasn't sure what would be on my list. I now know what I am looking for at OTSN this year. It is a one armed Elizabeth the First. Yep, I am looking for a broken figure.
Yes, it is a long story.
Many years ago, my first job in the States was as a tour guide at a Historic Fort in Detroit. My boss there was what could easily be called one of the ultimate toy soldier collectors. It was he that first introduced me to his friend Ken way back then. Fast forward 20 years to a few years ago when Ken & I are just beginning to date. On one of our trips back from the W. Britain HQ we stopped by his house in the Chicagoland area. He hands me a little figure of Elizabeth I, sans arm and says "I have the arm around here someplace". We all laugh because it was a quintessential statement by this friend. Sadly, a two years ago our friend passed away quite suddenly. His collection has been scattered to the four winds, gone on to other loving homes. But someplace out there, in a box, on a shelf, is a one armed Elizabeth that is my last link to our friend. That is what I am looking for this year.

All the Best,
Ericka

Hello Ericka

What a great story, I certainly hope you are able to find what you are looking for.
