Battleground with Van Johnson.

Walk in the sun.

Battle Cry

Sand of Iwo Jima

Ancients, How could I forget Spartacus? Saw it on the Sunday Night ABC movie at about age 8. I cried at the end, My Dad thought I was a weanie.
Huge positive influence on a kid.

Dark ages, THE VIKINGS of course.Saw this with all the rowdy neighbor boys
and of course we made wooden weapons and beat the hell out of each other, me getting the worst as all attacked me since my name is ODDEN. Not Odin, but it was close enough for a reason to pummel me.
WARLORD is also very good.

ZULU , of course this has always stuck with me and even my rowdy friends who are Not collectors of toy soldiers. For one, of course we as teenagers went on a rampage for weeks ambushing each other in the woods , chasing, throwing spears and shouting USUTHU. One of these guys has moved back to the area after about 10 years, was at the house, saw my dvd collection and went straight for ZULU, asking if he could borrow that! He has 5 brothers that were all in on the rough aggressive play 35 years ago and every time
we manage to get to some sort of neighborhood reunion, ZULU wars{ among other insane stuf we did} always comes up.I am still teased I collect models and figures.

I am the same way, Whatever I see that stirs something up, thats what I want to work on, display etc.WW2 Pacific one day, Henry 5th at Agincourt the next.

FUBar

Spartans - 300 (guilty pleasure)
Zulu - err....Zulu

WWII: Battle of Britain, Saving PVT Ryan for the opening sequence, spoke to a Ranger Platooon ldr who landed at Omaha, said his buddies told him it was realistic (he doesn't watch war movies), I'd say that is a high recommendation, and Bridge Too Far

Napoleonic: Waterloo- and I bought this dvd new earlier this year, off of Amazon if I remember correctly

ACW: Horse Soldiers

Colonial Period: Zulu
