Hello Gents and HRH

I just got back from a fun filled business trip / trip to hell :eek:

My business trip went fine and My trip to Hell was going to my Kiri's 20th College Reunion at WELLSLEY. Yes - thats right the liberal world of Hillary Clinton ! ;)

Anyway - many fun stories to tell this week - but one great thing did happen !

I finally made it to HOBBY BUNKER - what a great place and I was simply over whelmed by all the product - wow :eek: Words cant describe how wonderful that shop is - a real treat.

Well got to go to bed - Talk with all later.

Ron

I've got this image now Ron.Your standing at this reunion absolutely climbing the walls with boredom,Hillary approaches you."Hi Ron i'm Hillary,WHAT was Ney thinking of at Waterloo eh?"!

I can see the headline news;

'Lobbyist tries to throttle Ex first lady at reunion bash':D

Rob

The Hobby Bunker is a great shop. Matt Murphy and his dad are really good people. Did you see the Figarti Pegasus Bridge? I think Matt was supposed to have received one by now.

To get the conversations started at Wellesley do a few of the following;

1) drive up in a GREAT BIG SUV with a "RUSH IS RIGHT" bumper sticker

2) wear your NRA "Life Member" pin...

3) interrupt one of their conversations by starting with , "Sean Hannity says..."

4) mention that you are going to church in the morning (any demonination will do, but mention of Christianity will get the most eyebrows raised)

5) state that you are looking forward to winter so you can wear your fur-lined parka to go hunting...

The above ought to get you ejected in short order, thence you can spend more time at Hobby Bunker. If you are just an open and honest person with them, they will class you as a rube and put you in a corner where you can daydream about the way YOU would have directed the troops at Waterloo.

Gary, LOL :D:D:D

Good to have you back in one piece Ron - that is if you are in one piece after such a close shave........BTW Do they have coracle traing courses at Wellesley?;)

Off to the ancestral home on business soon, but will do my best to visit the glorious monument to Wellington - in Dublin!:)

What a great general he was......they came on in the same old way.....:D

Oz, how are you, missed our little chats.....best wishes

Some people in the world should understand that some members of the human race (and this forum) are dyed-in-the-wool, yellow-dog democrats who are quite proud to be called LIBERAL and would vote for Hillary Clinton over anyone who claims to be a republican (small letter r). Some would find the words "conservative" and "republican" to be offensive and maybe even perhaps just perhaps a little un-American. And some don't have to justify their manhood by carring a big gun (substitute any human male organ you choose for gun). And, to quote a famous author, "Rush is a big fat pig." :rolleyes::p:p

1) If this is a serious question then I'll give one of my FEW serious answers. "Rush" is Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, radio talk show host of the Rush Limbaugh Show, a conservative opinion/talk show in the USA. Use of his name incites immediate reaction pro-or-con. There is no middle ground about Mr. Limbaugh - you are fans or detractors.

2) As far as the conservative vs. liberal debates - this forum is NOT the place to get involved in that. My comments were made in a humerous vein. They obviously are quite effective - look at the reaction I got! I am VERY thankful that we live in a free country where we can each have our own passions and beliefs.

I wish we had some more 'edgy' Radio hosts in this country. There all boring.:rolleyes:

Gary

I took your comments as such ;)

As for my Republican belifes I believe they are well known - but, I am Lobbyist and work both sides of the ailse - also fortunate to have many Democrat friends !

My remarks on this thread were for the comical nature - I believe everyone know this :) However, the real story is HOBBY BUNKER !! :D

Now I just gotta work on you to be able to say #4 too.... :cool:

Pete (chaplain of the forum)

Pete

There is a BIG CHURCH - in the middle of Wellesley's Campus - so #4 would be agreed to by all - I think? :confused:

But, we appreciate having our Chaplain around for moral support. :)

Gary

It was a serious question, I have never heard of him, but I admire humourous prose wherever.......Isn't that right Ron?:D

More laughter please........
