Obee´s unlimited ability to match existing sources of sets to ones planned and exisitng collections is limitless.....Thanks God I am half a world across from him..otherwise my creditcard statement would go bust .......with all the ideas I have and his ability to translate them to reality...........::):tongue::wink2:{eek3}^&grin:cool:{sm3}{sm4}

To celebrate my recent nuptials I am currently waiting with excitement for:

First Legion Glory of Rome:
1. Aquilifer ROM013
2. Legionary with Gladius ROM009

To pass the time I am reading Simon Scarrow's "The Eagles' Prey!"

Then time to move onto building out the Recce unit of the 16th Panzer Division on the Eastern Front!

Picked up these guys and posted what I believe is the inspiration of the KIA Confederate. (A picture by O'sullivan at the Harris Farm) Outstanding details. Brad :) dead-confederate-alsop3-smaller (500x395).jpgmisc 024 (640x480).jpgmisc 023 (640x480).jpg

Just picked these up tonight and enjoyed some complimentary pastries at my TS shop. Not my photos though!

I would like to make a joke about him having so much of my dough that there should be pastries every night but not everyone likes puns!

Aquilifer and Legionary arrived, and now the FL 16th Panzer 222 and crew member are here too! Gonna need to wait a couple weeks before anything else fits in the budget!

A nice surprise today, when I got home from work :smile2:
Received my third of the six mounted Samurais by First Legion.
Here it is, SAM025.
His laquered armor is nicely done and I like the face mask he's wearing.

The last picture shows him with the two that were waiting here for him ^&grin

Happy Collecting!

Konrad

Yes - they will work well but they may see some action with a Pfalz first now that the great battle between Jack's Dad and the Lozenges has been fought ... and lost!

They are quite impressive figures and at 69 dollars for the pair I feel they represent good value.

Jack, tell your Dad not to feel too bad about defeat at the hands of those vicious camo lozenges. They have defeated and continue to defeat many in regards to the 1/30 scale airplane industry. Replicating the lozenges in an accurate and affordable manner has proved fruitless. So far.{sm2} -- Al

He got stuck in a Catch 22 - without glue they would not mould over the rivets etc and with glue they fell to pieces. Ironically, one of the challenges is the fact that the Wingnuts kits are so perfectly engineered that the modeller has to be perfect in putting them together. You didn't have to be perfect with the old Airfix kits!

Bring on the Gotha - but I am also waiting for the Eindecker for an early war diorama ... and the Bristol for my British airfield ... and the Rumpler ... and the ...

Well not from a "Maker"
A monthly publication ( Altaya) was selling some years ago cars from a well known French Circus : Pinder
I had the chance to buy on ebay some cars, like

Webb-DSC_0473 bis.jpg

But there was also a special box with figures ( scarce to find ) , including the box, for the most than fair price of 17,50$
Webb-DSC_0472 bis.jpg

Five sets of 4th (Queens' Own) Light Dragoons from the Trophy of Wales "CRIMEA WAR" series. These sets are getting very hard to find

Cheers

Martyn:)

Getting a bit sick of Jenkins - you plan what you are going to buy and feel that you are 'on top of things' and he keeps bringing out stuff that just looks great. I have two WW1 tanks now on the list as well!

Welcome to my world Marty although in my case it's Andy that's buggering up all my future buying plans! {sm4}
