I was answering another post and it gave me the idea for this thread. There are certain wwii sets i have liked so much that i could not resist buying a 2nd or third. These vehicles for me were the ak019 the mk iii, the t34/85 (love it), the ak demag, the hummel, the british sherman and the royal tiger porshe version. For infantry sets i bought extras of the commonwealth 4man set, the tommy patrol and the first german tanks riders set which was my personal favorite. What about all you guys ?

I rarely get 2 of something and then only for different theatres. I have a FoB and AK Stug III and the same for the Opal Blitz truck (Ak and Normandy) and ambulence (8th army & FoB)

There aren't any I liked so much I had to have 2 of the exact same ones.

Terry

I will at some point before its retired be buying more Opel Blitz trucks,i can also be tempted to get more than one Stug.

I must admit I am guilty of this quite a few times.:) When I consider

what was available when I first started buying King & Country in the late 1990's

how could you help yourself? Todays offerings just keep getting better and

better! I currently have far to many duplicates to list but here is certainly

one of my favorites it sits right next to my chair in the den!:)

Regards Scott

I never buy a duplicate figure or vehicle other than a repaint for a different theatre of war. It is just way to expensive, I'll stick to one of each.

Guilty, British Sherman from KC UK, bren, tommy patrol, bedford.

I bought two of the gray Kubelwagens. I may whitewash one, but they look very good in a diorama since they are so small.

I have 2 of nothing in my entire collection of figures and vehicles, but there are a few figures I would love to have in duplicates - marching.

Two Opel BLITZ Trucks (Afrika Korps) AK037. One to display with the sitting figures, and one with the top on. Plus they look cool in a small convoy.

Tunisian Tiger

earlier tank riders , iwo jima marines for running off the landing crafts..and a couple of pieces for repaints, but too much stuff out there and way too little money to be doubling up:D sorry i didn't get another berlin tenement or the nazi/ss lamp posts:eek:

There are alot of vehicles I would love to have duplicates of.Most in fact!
However like most of you by the time I get the money together to buy another....Out comes a retired notice on something I want and havn't picked up yet, OR some new really COOL limited edition is released!!!AAAARRRGH!!!
Rght now it,s just a Grille and a desertDAK HalfTrack.
O.C.

None due in part to cost and space limitations. Another reason is I don't build dioramas, instead just displays of individual pieces so I don't need duplicates. Duplicates don't look right unless you are adept at some home modification of the numbers on the vehicles and for the price of K&C pieces I'm not willing to butcher them! There have been exact same pieces just with different paint jobs due to being in a different theatres or war I've considered purchasing. With all the choice out there and new pieces coming out all the time I've got plenty to keep my hands full without buying duplicates. I'm not a speculator either where I buy two or more of something hoping to sell one at an inflated price later on down the road ( or in some cases just after release ).
Now I'll just bet if we're talking figures then collectors have lots of duplicates for marching scenes, guard duty and bands. If you collect Napoleonics, Civil War, American Revolution etc then I'm sure you must have duplicates to recreate the various battle formations that existed.

Cheers
CFM :)

Who,s lucky enough to have 2 of these..............

Ha, I had all three pieces 2 of AK20, and 2 of WS32.....key word is had!:D

They are all long gone, as you can't keep everything. AK20 pops up now and

then in the $200-$300 range. WS32 has appeared several times this year in

the same range though it has gone over $400. WS37 is a little more difficult

in the $300 to $400 range, and watch the rear tow hook its fragile.

Thanks if i ever get my hands on a WS37 i will watch that hook..........:)

If this counts I bought both versions of the Chaffee tank.

If anybody ever comes out with a Pershing Tank I'll buy 2 for sure.

DD045 (love this tank when in the band Of Brothers I Saw it in one of the episodes, and saw it on K&C, Just had to have 2). One for display, the second still in a box.
And I know its suppose to be in another part of the forum. But As soon as Figarti, slows down with their releases. A second One of the priest and the stuka for 2 diorama's. that I am making.
