I will be getting lost in the hallways and wondering wasn't I just in this room.

Also I will probably have purchased many items that were not on my list and
hopefully, I will have met many forum members for the first time.

Are the forum members planning any get togethers, drinks at the bar or dinners?

I will be sitting in Andy and Gordons room, greeting old friends as they wander in, and admiring the new dioramas and products. Chicago and the NY Symposium are my two favorite times of the year as a collector.

I will be out of town, and plan to get to the show on Sunday. I'll be at the doors at 9:30.

I'll probably in in Ron Barzso's Room at this time in one week... I'll be helping him set up on Wednesday - readying everything for the opening on Wed. evening.

Hope to see a lot of you at the show... It should be great fun - - as always!

Jim

I'll be in my rooms greeting old friends and meeting new ones and my Dad will be making me laugh like he always does.

All the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted, I'm as ready as I'mm going to be. Will be doing some last minute scenery painting this weekend and relaxing as Monday draws near, time to pack the van and drive to Chicago..............

i will be stuck at work :( i was telling george earlier today this month sucked!!! i did get to move in to my new home, but it costs me my trip to chicago plus some things i had ordered back last month, i'm at the point i feel like i'm about ready to give up on collecting, everytime i plan on purchasing something or going to a show some big exspense shows up and ruins it, anyway hope all of you have a wonderful time maybe next year i'll get lucky enough to join you....sammy

Hopefully I won't be washing all the windows, cutting the grass, and

sweeping up at my local BP Station in order to fill up the Harley!:D

Hopefully, doing the same and not ruing another Mets loss;)

While Louis and you are sitting in Andy and Gordon's room, I plan on finding all the old glossy K&C figures.:D

Good luck to you, Steven! I will be poking around looking for them too, but I happen to know that the room with the largest selection of them won't be opening until Friday!;)

By this time next Friday I hope to be on the road driving to Chicago - about a 2.5 hour car trip for me. ETA = 9:30 a.m.

Well, my wife and I are going to Chicago early to do a couple days "tourist" stuff, on Thursday we move out to Schaumburg and I go into soldier mode. By this time next week I will have done the first rounds on Thursday PM and by Friday AM I will have breakfasted and be heading over to the room trading and looking forward to meeting the friends that I didn't see on Thursday.

"Oh happy, happy, joy, joy..."

Will be working at Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin all day on Friday, then racing down to Schaumburg in time for the dinner event. Planning to spend Saturday morning and part of the afternoon at the show catching up with people and making a few select purchases. Funny how fast this comes up after a seemingly endless wait. :)

I'll be glued to the PC waiting for one of you very helpful guys to give us on this side of the pond the news!;)

Cheer up, Brad, the Mets won tonight. Like Yogi says, it aint over 'til its over!:p;):D

Louis,

Every time a starter goes out and a reliever comes in, it's an adventure, the likes of which I've never seen before. Apparently, they have the highest number of relief pitcher appearances per 9 innings in MLB this year, 3.4.

Carlos Beltran said yesterday something to the effect that "I know they're trying but I can't believe this is happening." Neither can the fans. The one to blame is Omar Minaya, the GM, for putting together what has to be the worst bullpen ever.

But you didn't have to sweat through two seasons of Jose Mesa. I don't know what Larry Bowa ever saw in him. He was horrible.

Sure, he set a club record for saves in a single season. The media guide has to say that, as do the broadcasters. But he had a conversion rate that year of 85%. So, in the same season that John Smoltz converts 99% of his save opportunities into a save and a win for the Braves, Mesa blows 15% of his, and the correlation of losses to his blown saves was almost 100%.

My neighbors must have thought I was nuts, sitting in the garden those summer nights, listening to the games on the radio, and shouting to no one in particular, when Harry Kalas would announce, "It's on to the ninth, and Jose Mesa time", "OH NO, NOT MESA!"

What did you think of Billy Wagner, BTW? I wasn't too impressed with him, either. Sure, he could through a fastball over 100 mph, when his back wasn't bothering him. I was glad to see him go to the Mets.

Tom Gordon was another one, Yankee cast-off. "Flash" Gordon, my eye!

Well, the next 10 days promise to be exciting, at least!

Prost!
Brad

By this time next Friday, I,ll probably be running out of money!
Especially if my buddy Gary B. catches up to me. He has some really remarkable plastic conversions waiting for me in Chicago.
See you all in less than a week.
Gotta turn off the phone, don,t want any message that can cause me to miss this trip!
Gary
