Now as for the Italians (and my grandfather was a proud citizen of that fine country)i just don't get their appeal really.But am willing to do a U turn if i see some fine examples from K&C.I guess some more foes to face my 8th Army would be cool.

at the risk of offending a few people, i honestly agree.

In my honest opinion the Italians are generally beautiful, passionate people who excel in the art of love (and football).

But as WW2 shows, (and excluding the Roman era and a few valiant Italians under the DAK) they are no longer have stomach for the art of war.

natural progression as with the past war masters, such as the Mongols, Turks, etc..

No offense taken, Nasir . . . but remember one thing, about 15% of the American forces in WWII were Italian Americans, many of whom, including 4 of my uncles, served with distinction (2 making the Ultimate sacrifice for their country). Its very simple . . . all the tough Italians moved to Brooklyn, the Bronx and Boston back in the 1880's through 1920's!

To be fair I have read that the Elite Italian units were highly regarded in WWII. I guess most of the others were conscripts and didn't have much faith in El Duce's motives.
