I made a comment in another thread about English dialect. If anyone wants to hear the Geordie dialect of Newcastle and Northumberland it's hear, no subtitles though! The thurd wans Blaydin races

I have friends from South Shields so managed to pick up a few bit of the lingo something about having a head like a well buted tuggie

Those friends of yours are from the dark side my forum friend. Geordies only from the newcastle side of the tyne. The best dialect in the world and, reportedly when the queen is not in public its how she really speaks. Honest!!!

Massive difference in dialect from the north side of the tyne to any part south of it though, many outside the area do not realise it. I would not want to be from anywhere else in the world than Newcastle.
