Who has an International Parcel STUCK at US Post Chicago International Center??? (3 Viewers)

I shipped a box US Priority EXPRESS International to Australia May 5.

I live in Wisconsin and it sat in Milwaukee until May 28 before it moved to Chicago International Distribution Center. This took 23 days to travel 100 miles !!!!

Today is June 17 and this box is still at Chicago, 20 days with NO movement or scan !!!

This is a total of 43 days so far !!!!

I sent a parcel from the UK to a forum member in the US which took 4 weeks instead of the usual 4-5 days. It spent the best part of 3 weeks at Heathrow (airport) waiting for a flight out.

Eight weeks and still counting for package from Spain.

Me too. I've had to wait quite a while for some parcels from Spain and the UK.Both took a lot longer than usual,especially the UK.

I shipped a box to Canada US Priority International mail on May 21 , went to Milwaukee and to Chicago in 2 days

Sat in Chicago 22 days until June 12 , finally left for Canada June 12 and arrived to customer June 15. Total was 26 days

Normally tales 10 days to Canada.

USPS is only shipping parcels as flights are available. I'd order soldiers from a store in the US, and it would usually arrive within ten business to Canada. Now it is taking nearly a month. Parcels are slow-moving domestically within Canada, as well.

Ordered two Tamiya kits from different vendors in Japan. Neither arrived and had to request refunds.
Orders from Australia have taken about 4 weeks.
Canada is 3-4 weeks.
Hong Kong pkg took 2 weeks.

I sent a package from the UK to Malta on May 20th and it was delivered on May 25th, 5 days door to door.......sounds like that was a result {bravo}}

Any where between one to two months from US to South Australia. Over a month from Europe. Does not help when I pre order a month waiting for the delivery to the dealer, which adds to the total of three months from start to finish. Will be glad when the post ramps up. Robin.

Using DHL Express from Hong Kong K&C despatched my latest order to me on the 9th June, which was delivered to me on the 11th June. Similar story on the previous order with K&C too using DHL Express. First class service there !

Normally it takes about two weeks with about ten of those days spent in customs !

I ordered a two volume book on the Franco Prussian War on April 6th direct from the publisher in Austria.

The tracking shows it shipped on April 8th.

As of May 30th, it's still in Austria; TWO months and it's still in Austria.

Unbelievable.

I think I must have done well with an eBay purchase from UK.

Bought on 26 May, arrived 16 June, so that's 3 weeks

I have another 'in transit' posted 3 June, so that will hopefully be here by the end of the month?

As far as US parcels go, I have another posted 16 May and that is still in Chicago I think? (Troops to paint for Louis.) I'll keep you posted (no pun intended!)

Our friend and fellow forum member John Firth sent me a Heco Tinplate Models Feisler Storch from the United Kingdom, it arrived at Customs here in New York on May 12th, sat in customs for almost a full month and finally got to me (safely, thankfully) about a month after he posted it.{sm2}

My USPS Priority and First class boxes have been moving normal inside the USA

Only exception are 2 boxes between Wisconsin and Michigan which have been 10 days , so something is going on there ???

It has been May 23 since my box was scanned as arrived in Chicago and nothing since then about departing. Shipped May 5 from my house in Wisconsin !!!

I had a model from HK take 13 weeks. Even when it did arrive, the item was never cited in tracking as having been delivered. In fact, Ebay shipping STILL indicates that "ORIGIN POST IS PREPARING SHIPMENT." As far as they're concerned, I NEVER received the item! Prior to this incident, I had never had a problem with the vendor. In fact, shipments sometimes arrived faster from the same HK shop than stuff from California.

My thoughts on the thread subject?

Well, at this point, I say screw-it. I'm gonna confine my orders to the good-old, USA.
