So who is going this year? I will be there doing repairs for people who bring their beloved figures that have fallen on hard times or harder floors!

I intend to attend.
However, I am not sure if I will have a table on Sunday.

I'll report in around Noon on Saturday and stay overnight. Wonder if LAFD will be having their St Patrick's party there again that weekend . . . great fun, especially as our son is a fire fighter!

As to a table . . . I spoke with Craig about selling out of my room (Lots of grey cavalry to get rid of!). He said that you must (1) have a seller's permit and (2) have a table as well. As for the former, you do need a permit even if you're selling your own stuff (i.e., are not a retailor), but don't need to pay taxes.

Al Fisher aka Bosun Al

I have attended every West Coaster since 1993 when it was held at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. I'll be room trading on Friday and Saturday and have paid for two tables on Sunday. Just to verify what Al said, you must have a California re-sellers permit to get a table. I believe the show organizers can get in big trouble with the tax authorities if they allow someone to sell without a permit. One year, the California tax people showed up and asked to see everyone's re-sale permits.

I will arrive in Irvine on Friday.
Some of the stuff making the ride is King and Country, Conte Metal figures,
Conte WW2 Resin diorama pieces.
Please stop by and say hello.
Last year, the Costco Chocolate Cookies went fast.

Michael,

Do you reattach broken bayonets? If so, what do you charge for that repair per figure?

I plan on going this year, it will also be my first time going to a show in general so it should be very fun for me but not so much for my wallet :p
Im going to be hunting down conte metal and plastic ww2 sets, ontc eto sets and figure kits, and 21st century vehicles.

Just some advise from someone who has been attending both the West Coaster and Chicago shows for 20 years. If you see something you like and think you might want to buy it---buy it. I can't tell you how many times I didn't buy something and came to regret it later. I remember not buying John Jenkins FIW sets when they first came out which were originally produced by Frontline Figures thinking I could buy them later---wrong! Also, I passed on King & Country mahogany Warbirds when they were relatively cheap. A mistake. My biggest regret was not buying boxed Trophy of Wales sets for $50 at Chicago about 10 years ago. My excuse was that my suitcase was full!!!

Also, timing is everything. I sell out of my hotel room during room trading and can't tell you how many collectors have come back to buy something they were interested in, only to find that someone else had beat them to it.

In sum, I have rarely regretted buying something, but have many more times regretted NOT buying something.

The wife and I will be in San Diego for the weekend and will stop by Saturday for the show, haven't been to a show in awhile so really looking forward to it, hope to see some forum mates there as well...Sammy

The big question for the majority us, was not who was going, but who was going to take a camera. As it turns out it appears no one bothered, come on London. Cheers, Robin.

A selection of photos have started to make their appearance of the K&C forum.
