Hi guys,

I make the tough decision of opening up the eastern front, I have 2 russsian T-34s recently and now decide to get some of it's infantry. I originally collect battle of the bulge Germans and Americans, so this opening up of a new front is a tough decision, but I need the ruskies. ^&grin

How many of you actually collect the Russians now on the eastern front?

I have all of the Russian sets that were done a few years ago and am pleased with their quality. One advantage of the WSS and BBG sets are that some of the German AFVs were on the Eastern Front and if you have them, you already have the German opposition to the Russians.

Phoong,

I check on TreeFrog's store, then dealers and then on line auctions. With that you should be able to sweep the group quickly and affordably.

We will of course require pictures when ready!!!!{sm4}

No russian figures but, have some armour. No plans to buy russians as they are not really my cup of tea!! Always interested in Eastern front german releases but, as Terry said much that has been made so far can be used on multiple fronts in winter

I use mine to pair up with the K&C German Volksturm sets as they go great together.

Hi Ludwig,

Think you may have mix me up with phoong. I and phoong are two separate people though we apparently are both from the same country.^&grin

If I fought in WW2 knowing what I know now I would have fought on the western front. The eastern front was so savage and brutal from the weather to combat tactics. Which is why I'm so facinated & collect everything eastern front. Keith

I agree, the eastern front is often characterized with No holds barred fighting, where most of the time quarters are not given.

What interest me for the eastern front is the mass attacks of the Russians in their padded jackets in the tens of thousands, coupled with endless tanks. The moment their attack is stop cold, you can be sure their next mass attack is just round the corner.

The Russians had suffered grievous casualties in world war 2 but that does not stop them from flowing into Berlin. They have the potential to often counter attack and sit in other countries's capital eventually. You just have to look at napoleonic France.

I hope to create that mass juggernaut beast that is Russia eventually through my collection of K&C Russians to give an idea of their enormous capacity in resources and manpower. That will be a stunning collection when all the figures had came out. I appreciate Andy's decision to go back to the Russian front currently as I had missed the Russians previously for the fall of Berlin.
Now, looking forward to new Russian tank riders with soviet flag if Andy is producing a variant of them in the future.{sm4}

Nay, You will see only a small portion of the Russians infantry and tanks that are real figurines, the rest of the juggernaut will be digitized by computer in the background. Movie makers always do that, don't they for huge battle scene?^&grin
