who's going to the Chicago show?? (2 Viewers)

Yea, yea I know it's still 3 months away but time does go quickly and with all the talk and pics at the London show this past weekend I started thinking about the Chicago show, it will be my first of many ( I hope), I will be there from Friday until Monday so hope to enjoy as much of the show as possible including Sundays show, also hoping Shannon and Pete do another meet/greet like they did last year would like to meet the names behind the avatars:) so who else is going to the Chicago show this year??...Sammy

Hi Sammy,

I am making plans to attend the Chicago show. I have already made my hotel reservations and I am anticipating a great show. I will arrive on Thursday afternoon and leave on Monday morning. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago!

Hi Pat, look forward to meeting you and alot of the treefrog gang there as well, 3 years running I made plans to go to the show but do to buying new home moving/ vacationing same time(not my fault) I missed out, but not this year, I made my 2010 reservations back in the beginning of the year!!! and blacked out that week on the calander at work and home!!!!! can't let those boys the UK out do us:):) see ya in September...Sammy
 
I'm trying to twist my mum's arm for us to go and for her to bring a friend so that they two can go shoppung and I could kick about the show!:
Where could I find out the dates and accomodation please?:)

I'd be shocked if he didn't. I'm pretty sure the usual cast of characters will be there: George Guerrero, Matt Murphy, Pete and Shannon, Tim Tyler, Tom Dubel, Hans Hedrich, Larry Lo, Steven Chong, Rick Wang & the Figarti team, Andy Neilson and the K&C team, Clive Gande from Greygoose Collectibles, the Nevilles will probably be there, etc.:)
 
Along with Louis, confirm myself, Clive, Tim, Hans and Larry. Pretty sure Brad (Jazzeum) will be there too, he rarely misses the event! Also, Howard (Northgatewoods) will be there from Australia.

Hi Scott, just type in Chicago toy soldier show and a link will come up about general info about the show/ locations/ shopping and such, hope you can make it, as far as the shopping my wife checked into it and there is a huge mall close to the hyatt hotel, so tell mum she would have a blast there!!...Sammy

Is anyone going from Britain that could maybe give me flight ideas and directions from the airport?:)

And where is the nearest airport to the hotel?:)

Hi Scott, I called the Shaumburg Hyatt (where the show is located) and they do have reservations opened for the week of sept. 19-26, for 115 dollars a nite!! just let them know your there for the show, number is 1-847-605-1234, also the closet airport is O'hare airport, a little closer then Midway airport, so call'em up, see ya in September hopefully...Sammy

Alright Tom, no fighting about the upcoming Raven/Steeler matchup the week after Chicago:)...Sammy
 
The wife and I already have our room booked nearby. Now I need to convert some more plastic figures so I have spending money :)

By the way, for those of us that like tanks, there is a nice museum - the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park. This isn't terribly far to the south in suburban Chicago area. They have a nice museum and a good collection of tanks out in the park.

Hey guys!:DMy mum has looked at flights and is going to phone the hotel tomorrow and see what the going rates are!:DI'm so excited!:D:D
 
Last year was the 1st time I ever attended the Chicago show. Unfortunately I had to cut the trip short due to an incident that occurred at home. I figured I would give it a go and try again this year since I had a lot of fun the short time I was there.
 
I have my hotel and ticket reservations booked, so I'll be there unless some emergency occurs.

Hey guys looks like we can't afford it this year!:(Got the house extension to think about and I'm getting lots of stuff soon from Treefrog!:)

Mum says Maybe next year but!:D
