Here are the pictures of my second BB dio.Again, all K&C figures have been repainted and wheathered, including the jeep. The rest of the dio has been scratch built from top to bottom.
Mont-Rigi "Hautes ***nes"national parc , Belgium- close to the German border
16th dec 1944 - Northern part of the Bulge.Snow is starting to fall(snow will fall uninterupted for the next 48 hrs covering the Ardennes region with a layer of 60-120 cm.) Skorzeny's men, belonging to the 150th Panzer
Brigade, disguised as US soldiers are on the move.Operation Greif has started.
Who's who? Friend or Foe ?Has the roadsign been changed ?To make themselves recognizable to their comrades, Skorzeny's men all wear blue or pink scarfs.Their vehicles have small yellow triangles painted on the sides.
The scene depicts a cold early morning dec 17th.Two MP's ( US ?) are stopping a jeep on a small bridge in the vicinity of Mont-Rigi.K&C's "Real MP" is not so real after all, have a look at the colour of the scarf he is wearing, and who is that guy between the pine trees, armed with a BAR and covering the east side of the bridge ?A lot of questions to answer.

...... all K&C figures have been repainted and wheathered, including the jeep......

Very impressive. Staging and ground work like that is seldom seen.
A true Master. Magnificent.

The next time you undertake repainting a stock K & C figure you should
post the pictures of the stages with a bit of dialog of the process you
go through to get that level of realism.

By the way, I lived for several years in Braine-le-Comte. If you know
where that is-----between Mons and Brussels. House overlooked the
locks at Ronquières.

Tremendous photo, painting and weathering! Well Done!

Hi there,
I promise next time I will take you through the different stages to get that level of realism you are talking about. Each time I will illustrate it with a photograph.
PS I know Braine ( myself I live in Bruges) but I don't know your house overlooking the locks.
Thanks for your nice comments
