Why are threads being closed? (2 Viewers)

Do you mean the one about the ignore list? Yeah, I thought that of the reasons given, the one that the thread had run its course was about the most justified. The others seemed a little weak.

But, we've agreed to the rules, and so be it.

If people disagree so be it.I don't think anyone is going to track down someone who don't agree with them and do them harm.

The ignore thread had run its course, as noted. The question that had been asked had been answered.

The Michael Jackson thread was one that when you first saw it you knew it could only go south. Recent postings have shown that to be the case. Hence, it was deleted.

I recall the word being homogenious;) I don't know about that, now Clark, and I'm not a genious either.

The ignore thread turned out to be a hoot, nothing hostile there...Michael

What's the point of viewing how many ignores members have. That's even more stupid than basing the popularity of a member on how many forum friends they have.

The simple fact is some people are more sensitive to conflicts or whatever than others so they use the 'ignore' option. Others may feel the need to indicate they have lots of friends, so they accumulate 'friends'.

These options are there for those that want to use them can do so. If anyone is trying to make too much out of this it makes me wonder if they have ulterior motives for that. Hmmm, worth thinking about.

Btw guys, I didn't mean to sound like I've been judging why anyone would want to use the ignore option or make full use of the friends feature on this forum. They are just things that I'm personally not keen on using. If others like to use them that's all well and good with me - just so you know - for what it's worth ;)

The Jackson thread has been reopened, albeit a little cleaned up. Let's try to avoid delving into politics in that thread.

Ah, closed again without reason other than differences of opinion.

We all knew that thread had disaster written all over it from jump, just a question of time before it had to be shut down.

That said, I think you went a bit to far there drum with you comments, basically telling us if we don't like it, we can leave.

Nice.
