My wife Cathryn started collecting K and C Berlin 38 two years ago.
Currently constructing a diorama for her 8 feet by 2 feet.

very cool Colonel!

how much are those white card figures...

I need to fill in my ranks with them...^&grin...

Not to many cards to go, a novel way of completing a series. Always like the dark side displays, very dramatic. Robin.

29 Soldiers, 1 street banner and 2 eagle plinths to go, and then we have to complete Cathryn's Pike and Musket.
Will upload photos next weekend.
Cathryn says thanks for the comments. I was once a Colonel, now just a glorified typist taking orders from a girl.{sm2}

Slowly getting used to taking orders from a girl, they should all just stick to baking.
A chap in Hong Kong will be receiving an order in march and april for Berlin 38.;)

Great collection . Myself I am preparing a "Germany 1930s" diorama. I am working on two appartment buildings at the moment . Hope to finish this dio near to the summer . This kind of diorama still stirrs, in general' very negative feelings overhere. Swastika flags are not allowed to be shown in public.
guy:)

Yes, there would certainly be a few raised eyebrows here if you walked into someone's house and saw such a display... I have a sizeable collection of German combat troops. But the LAH parade figures and their swastikas always leave me feeling a little queasy...

I am very fortunate to have a Family Military background.
Father Squadron Leader (RAF WW2 )
Grandfather Brigadier ( WW1 )
Cousin Major General ( Chief of Defence Force NZDF )
I served Bosnia x 2, Kosovo, East Timor x3, Iraq, Afghanistan x 3. In every deployment we came across atrocities against the civilian population.
I know what it is like to see hated symbols, unfortunately that is history rightly or wrongly.

Everybody loves a parade and this one is done well, but hanging 3 or even 1 portait of Adolph Hitler on the wall is way over the top for me.
Respectfully,
Ray

Hello:

So your wife is preparing a 8 by 2 foot display area from K&C's LAH Berlin 1938 series, wow, that is a huge display area! I have a display area of K&C's Berlin 1938 series of 20 by 28 inches with some 90 figures. About how many figures is she going to have when she is done?

Gary,
Stage 2 where Cathryn is at presently is 110 soldiers, 3 motorcycles and 1 truck and assorted buildings and monuments.
Stage 3 in march and april will be a further 29 soldiers.
Stage 4 will allow for further releases, have been informed there will be some good releases.

Impressive Display, I must say this is the first time I saw White cards used in place to depict future purchases. This will be quite the Display once completed !

Being a LAH collector myself I'm impressed seeing this display. Only the flags are a bit strange. Never seen these before.

Thanks for sharing - not much LAH displays here lately.

Are you referring to the Toy Soldier Flags or the large drapery flags behind the diorama? --- LaRRy

The large drapery flags I was referring to. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Oh, no misunderstanding, mostly curious.

I used to have a large Military Collection (as well as being a dealer) in a previous life. Although I only can see a little in a photograph they appears to be reproductions or home made. Very nice work, but I don't authentic the period.

I decided to leave that hobby due to rapidly increasing costs, ever better forgeries and the "stigma" of selling German WWII items. (Funny though as they were always my top seller.)

Still a very nice display, setup and great collection RNZIR.
