Winter Panther has arrived! (1 Viewer)

Toricda-

Thanks for the photo. Now, I have a good idea of the figures of HB. They go very well with the K&C tank riders.

Pierre.

Tor-
Great pics. There have been a lot of questions about how the HB figures compare both in size and quality to KC. It is obvious from your photos that they are now very compatible. The Winter Panther is my all time favorite vehicle as well. From the new pics of the Bergepanther, it appears to me that the double camo summer version is the most consistent in color with the earlier Barkmann Panthers. I really like the triple autumn camo best though. Looking forward to that Soviet Panther! Pictures, pictures Ana!

Pictures, pictures Ana!

The pictures of the Soviet Panther and Field Kitchen will probably only be available AFTER the Chicago Show. They are working very hard to get everything ready in time.

Patience ... patience ...

I heard a rumor that the Field Kitchen was to be available in Chicago. Just a rumor?

TORICDA,

Great photos of the awesome HB tank, the K&C winter tank riders work beautifully on it.:D

I have heard the bergepanther will definitely be available at OTSN and probably the field kitchen too.

It's not just a rumor. Honour Bound is bringing a pretty limited number of the Field Kitchens and Soviet Panthers to Chicago to be sold by their dealers there (Treefrog, Sierra, Minuteman, Michigan). The Field Kitchen will come in 3 paint schemes - summer, winter, and gray.

We'll try to have some images from the show (or the 'official' photographer will provide them:rolleyes: )

The HB winter panther set on its own is really sharp, You'll be pleased to see that KCs figures such as the tank riders placed along side the panther set will compliment each other very nicely.

Aside from the upcoming berge and field kitchen can you just vision what thier Sherman or Tiger tanks will look like or do I dare whisper a flak88.

Speaking of the field kitchen I have a pic of it in 1/35 scale painted, Should I post it or would you guys rather see HBs version when they release it?

Honour Bound has an image of the casting on their web site:

Just to clarify this pic is of a 1/35 scale model of the field kitchen by TAMIYA. it just gives us an idea of what it looks like.

Hi,

Just got my Winter Panther today, and have got to say it is simply outstanding. The best vehicle in my collection by a mile. Thanks Ana, can't wait for the Bergepanther.

Andy:D

Thanks for posting. Nicely done. I just hope that the HB horses are not in the same pose.

My Winter Panther finally arrived today which was a good thing as I was extremely pleased with the model itself. Now, the whole "screw" thing was simply SCREWED! I took note of the previous threads & was very careful-but she simply did not move-if it was if the thing was put in with lock-tight! So I sat back and thought about this for a while; brewed some coffee & took two advil-should have taken three!. About fourty-five minutes later I reported back to the hangar. I had to cut away the cardboard/wood base to expose just the "screw". You would think it would be easy now-but not so. Still, she did not move, even with the super vise-grip. It was time to call the Dremol surgeon in. Almost an hour later, the broken part of the non-moveable screw was flush with the bottom of the tank. By the way, there was also a small whole/imperfection at the bottom of the tank itself. It was if the tank was positioned incorrectly on its packaging base which was noted, moved & repainted. With that project completed, where does the antenna go. Yes, I saw the pictures per their website showing its given location but that area has been filled in. Are you supposed to drill on your own? Have I expected too much? Off to the crib!

Hi Marc,

Congrats on the HB winter panther, it's a beautiful tank. Mine was screwed down tight, but not that tight, sounds like you went through quite an ordeal. I know through recieving two Barkmanns and the winter panther that the packaging can be pretty tricky, but having to resort to using a Dremol is going above and beyond. As for the antenna, it sounds like you know the location, on the left rear deck about a half inch behind the turret, but you're right, the depth of the hole leaves a lot to be desired. I just gave up on mounting the antenna and display the panthers without them. Wouldn't want to poke someone's eye out. You've probably figured this out already anyway, but the K&C winter tank riders look great on the winter panther.;)

Fred

Cheers Fred:

Thanks for the moral support as I am still recovering from the ordeal! By the way, there was NO hole for the antenna as it was completely filled above the rim! As for the K&C tank riders-you are absolutely right as it is a stunning set-up. Happy hunting & thanks again.

Hang Tough,
Beaufighter
