Winter Wonderland! (1 Viewer)

Well it appears to have almost stopped snowing. Looks like we got almost another foot of snow, which means we have at least 3-3 1/2 feet on the ground. This storm has broken the DC area record for most snow in a winter, ever. Just pushed my son out the door with the shovel and broom. Hooray for youth! -- Al

You're a heck of a dad Al :D

I gave up a long time ago. The look I'll is "what, are you kidding?"

Ya, I restored a 30 year old snowblower in 2003, fully rebuilt in 2006 (except engine, just auger, etc). It has been a godsend especially due to the fact I had a triple hernia and a single hernia surgery in the past 1.5 years. I just hope the deck shoveling I did the other night doesn't cause a 3rd hernia surgery in 2 years!

Again, I know I sound like a broken record, but in 37 years, I have never experienced this.

Tom,

Did they do an open repair on you or use the scope and place the mesh over the "damage zone"? Stay warm and I hope you make it to Texas. From the looks of things though, no Toy Soldier deliveries for a while so I will hold a candle vigil for all of you impacted by the WX!

Be Careful,
Marc

Once with scope and mesh, second time with open and mesh. BUT never conventional which I heard is the worst!

Right you are-open is the worst as that had to convert mine from the minimally invasive technique. In my infinite wisdom to minimize anesthesia I had my arm operated on followed by the double hernia procedure all at the same time with one surgical team following the next. On paper, that was sound thinking, but when things went wrong and they had to do the open procedure, I was screwed! Try getting up from that when the right half of your upper body is KOd. What an experience. I had to use my head against the bed headboard to roll over-what fun memories. Anyway, hopefully no more procedures fro you so cut out the manual labor that tags that weak area my friend as it is not worth it.

Feel Good,
Marc
