George, not sure if you noticed it but your sentence just tailed off there, for the sake of forum continuity could you just complete it;)

Rob

Hey Rob!! You can try it yourself. Count the number of "..." George left at the end of the sentance and try to guess the letters, sort of like a hangman puzzle.

Matt, after seeing your Napoleonic figures, which ever era you do we are sure it will be very nice. Everyone is being so nosey because trying to figure out a mystery is part of the fun of the forum.

Well, I am not that curious but, maybe hmmm.. 15th Century Knights?

I would like to add, the mere news/rumour of First Legion dwelling into WW2 is really getting me all excited.

as is rather obvious, i'm a WW2 nut, and have been purchasing other manufacturers WW2 offerings considerably.

but from glancing at First Legion's Napoleonic figures, one can only imagine the quality of WW2 products First Legion could possibly offer.

as a precaution, i have decided to further tighten my purse string in anticipation, just in case the news came true and we are hit with a sudden blitz of First Legion WW2 offering.:)

sincerely,

nasir kasmani

Very interesting about is upcoming WW2 line. Does anyone know what scale they'll be? I see they have two scales currently.:confused:

I don't think it has been confirmed that either of the two ranges would be WWII, unless I missed something along the way.

Regarding the two scales, do you mean 54mm and 40mm as is currently offered?

"I thought I would bump this response to the "what kind of teaser" question?:D"

Ok, I'll throw you guys a bone; I can confirm that one of the ranges will involve several hands, faces and feet, ie, the releases in the range will all have hands, faces and feet.

Hope this helps..........:p

No mention of hoofs so it must not be something with cavalry

Would I need suntan lotion if I were a participant in one of these ranges? ;)

Not so fast my Texan friend, there are TWO new ranges coming this year, so maybe the second one will have cavalry..............

No suntan lotion needed where you're going in regards to one of the ranges.............

Well that sure rules out a great deal George.;):D I guess one would conclude that not BOTH of them take place in usually sunny climates.

Wow, a lot of activity on this thread while I've been mired in the 2 day time suck that is the trip back to China from the USA.

Suffice it to say, we are doing two new ranges and between the two of them there will be faces, hooves, feet, hands and whatever else and between the two of them you should probably dress for all climates. :D

Just to quickly address the question of scale, anything we would do would be in the same scale as our Napoleonics, which are about 58mm or true 1:30 scale. Our 40mm products are for a completely different market really and we typically don't discuss them on Treefrog very much (wargamers mostly). Though, gaming in the toy soldier scales is of course VERY possible and highly recommended!!!

We did say we had two new ranges coming out. That's all I'm going to say about this for now so while you are free to speculate, I will neither confirm nor deny anything about this until the time has come, which is Q1 2009. Suffice it to say, that any range we do will get the same treatment as our Napoleonics...

As I said in another post, 2009 will be an exciting time for us and our collectors.

Regards,

Matt

Hi First Legion! I wish you would give us some kind of sneak peek or something!! I cant take the suspense.. I just hope you will be making some unique axis figures and something a little different.. Too many other companies just release the same old stuff!

Glad to hear we will have some more hooves.;):D By Q1, which is of course here, I take you mean some time before the end?

Well, with one of the two ranges, we're going to officially announce it this weekend via a newsletter and our website. The range will contain hooves, but the first figures don't have any unfortunately!
