Blood loss, if you actually take even a minute to look there is very little blood on his bandage or uniform, plus the wound does appear to be at the elbow. Therefore could you bend your arm and grip hands! Unless you are a superhero!

Even though color photography was in it's infancy, most of the images published of the Great War were, and still are black and white. It is often startling to see crisp color pictures from this period. Many of the color negatives from this period have had less stable colors and as a result they seem 'desaturated'. I played around a bit with three very similar images to see the effect...

I think the Morser will be great but not inexpensive. I also believe it's limited to 400 sets.
