Yeeha...... it's raining here in Auckland for only the second time since Xmas. It's not going to be much, but people are dancing in the rain all over the country right now.{sm4}

It's been a wicked summer, but with pasture dying our farmers are really worried, with no feed for their stock and crops failing everywhere.

Our Lamb and vegie's prices are going to go through the roof later as a result.

Places like Wellington have now got 'outside' watering bans, which is unheard of here, plus council workers patrolling the streets to catch anyone out.

Still, there's a plus side some businesses are booming, with restaurants and bar till-take, up 30% on last year.

Our local 'Mr Whippy' man (ice-cream truck) can't keep up.....poor sod.^&grin

Some parts of the country are starting to look like an Aussie desert.....{sm2} Roll on a wet winter!

What are you winging about Toddy?..:rolleyes2:.. change the names from Auckland, Wellington to Brisbane and Melbourne (don't know why you would change to Melbourne though..:wink2:...) and you're talking about normal Oz weather, well what was normal... just these last two days here in Brissy was the only days we haven't some showers for twenty some odd days. Anyway we know what a long dry spell is like, no good at all for those on the land. But don't worry mate won't be long before you're moaning about the wet....:).
Wayne.

I think we got 8mm of rain today......enough to fill the bird-bath and thats about it, plus on top of that Auckland had a 3.1 earthquake followed by a 3.9 after-shock this afternoon.....I think the big fella upstairs is trying to tell us something{sm5}{sm2}
