An interesting "sneak peak" of a forthcoming series is in the Standard I received today. It shows a couple of different axemen and one with a sword and shield.:smile2:

Vikings anybody?

Andy

It has caught my attention. I hope there will be a Viking Long Boat, so it can rival my Nile Gunboat for pride of place in my display cabinet.

Regard Paul

As the great Bill and Ted would say, "Excellent"! I had to do a double take I thought the title to the thread was in the Conte section. I believe Ken does have previous experience sculpting Viking figures.
I can't wait to see what's coming.

This has been something I have wanted to get back to for many years. Myself, Alan Ball and other members of our creative team have been pretty busy, and I have to admit these were a fun distraction.
We have spent a fair amount of time looking at the historical evidence and plan on a range that will include Saxons, Vikings and in the not too distant future Normans.

Protect us O' Lord from the Wrath of the Northmen...

Saxons, Vikings and Normans sounds like antagonists of the Norman conquest in 1066. Looking forward in seeing how this range pans out.

Alright, great figure. I like the axe too.

WOW... I'm sure this will be a huge hit. Looking really good. :salute:::salute:: regards Gebhard

I have not bought a Britain's figure in ten years .These will change that :p

great sculpt. really promising.

I'm addicted to the Vikings TV series . this range will be my first dip into the medieval / dark age period.
I haven't gone further back in time than English Civil War until now.

I agree that this could be a very popular range. I have most of the Conte Vikings, Saxons and Normans and always looked for additions.
Combined with a Barzo castle great dioramas are in my future!
Hopefully Ken and his crew will have the time and motivation to make consistent releases. Collectors tend to "move on" when there are
long periods between the releases of a range.

Here's another sculpt in the WB Wraith of the Vikings range . . . . . posted today on the WB Facebook page . . . . .

:smile2: Mike

An "Uhtred" style Saxon Shield Wall is what I'm waiting for.......

I've been on the lookout for a Vikings range to get into from the start. I'd thought Collectors Showcase might've done a good job but I've been really impressed by the sculpts shown here. I haven't really considered WB in my purchasing to this point (though the WW1 stuff has tempted me) but this would change things!

Great looking sculpts. Already clearing some shelf space for this new range. Happy to get in on a Britains series from the very beginning...... Was a little late to the party with ACW & AZW.

This is not a period from history that I planned to collect from , but they look good , I am keeping my eye on developments , I could be tempted in

Kev

Just posted this morning on the WB Facebook page, featuring the previously two prototype vikings and two new ones joining in on the fray . . . . . Very, very nice looking . . . . . this is all I need. Another range to consider collecting . . . . . .
:smile2: Mike
