There was a big dust-up about this aircraft about 4 years ago on this forum. The plane is not a real design. It was never produced. -- Al

100 percent correct although I think it was a design. The contoversy caused divisions that I don't think have ever healed.

Has to be the worst row on this forum by a long shot. But lets not go back there, things are much better these days with a better vibe in my view, personally I like the Rammjager as it has that air of a final superweapon type of thing going on.

From what I remember it look more like the Jap rockert plane than anything the Germans made

It has never even been a prototype. I went over all the drawings from Henkel, Junker, Messerschmitt, Arado, etc ... there was never such an aircraft or Rammjäger on the drawing board.
guy:)

That's not exactly true as it is mentioned in a book by Ingolf Meyer, Luftwaffe Advanced Aircraft Projects to 1945. Maybe not a prototype but apparently a design.

Unfortunately, the words on the second image didn't come out very well so this is what it says:

Fw 'Ram-Fighter'

Focke-Wulf was not the only firm that designed a Rammjager derived from the Fi103(V-1) flying bomb, as Arado, Blohm & Voss, Gotha, Heinkel, Messerschmidt and Zeppelin also undertook such an attempt. Apart from the Fi103R, the design from Focke-Wulf was one of the closest to it in overall appearance. A report that the pilot exit was to have been with the aid of an ejection seat, however, is questionable. Even if he was not to be sacrificed, the aircraft was not provided with any landing feature - not even a skid.
